cobalt - 26 Nov 2004 14:58 GMT Could you please tell me registration fee (approx) ? There is a meeting in one hour (its 9am central) and if I have the cash I'm going to run in and get the materials. I know the meeting fee, I just need to know how much to join.
Thank you very much! :D Sarah
Laura - 26 Nov 2004 15:26 GMT I *think* it is $20. Well worth it for getting the materials plus hearing the leader explain the program. Stay for the meeting as they do the new members talk and handing out of materials after the regular meeting.

I think ours is closed today too. My meeting is tomorrow. Just hope any weight I gained from yesterday's meal is gone tomorrow morning.
Fred the Second - 26 Nov 2004 19:07 GMT Meeting closures are the normal for this time of year - lots of folks don't want to even think about their weight in November and December. Come January all meetings are usually full and new (previously closed) meetings will be added.
The website www.weightwatchers.com will always have the absolute latest info about meeting time and places. Do a search using your ZIP code and see what's available.

I'll be heading back at 6am for the early meeting tomorrow. I know my weigh in will be a disaster, I have a broken leg and a rather heavy cast on. Should make for a nice loss in a few weeks though. :)

Don't worry about the WI due to the cast. What counts is that you get the materials and can start the program. You might find that you like the meetings and can come up with the money to attend them.
Miss Violette - 26 Nov 2004 20:03 GMT that would make it easier to go without food until you did WI, Lee

On the way to the meeting I stop at Dunkin Donuts for coffee (drive thru window). I sometimes take some fruit or a smoothie with me to have with my coffee after WI.
The hard part is the night before as we tend to call out Friday nights. Tonight we are doing mexican. I am ordering their tilipia (yummy).

Miss Violette - 26 Nov 2004 23:03 GMT You are so cool to not change your fun stuff, I think it is a true mark of success that you didn't change this Friday night family time to accommodate but you changed what you order, that is just too cool, Lee

Like you alway say, don't change something that you can't live with for the rest of your life. Friday night take out is part of our routine. I did change DH's original suggestion from Chinese to Mexican so that I could have the fish. Very spicy, very yummy. I did get some quacomole that I have saved for lunch tomorrow.

I like tasting the fish and not having my mouth on fire because they used too much garlic.

Joining fee here is 15$ (plus meeting fee 9.95$) If you have an Health inssurance ask them if they run the health inssurance promotion.. (Franchises might not) if you got the right one they'll waive the joining cost (15$ here)
I know Kaiser and Blue Shield are on the list.. there's tons of others..
I did NOT say this...

That's why we just kinda mention it without having ever said a word..
Boy am I talkative today..

Also, there is a discount on the starter kit with some insurance plans.

Deb in Northern California - 27 Nov 2004 09:46 GMT Where I live in the central valley of California it is $10.95/meeting and where my daughter goes to school on the Monterey coast it is $9.95/meeting. Sometimes I am tempted to have her buy my 10 week coupons to save another $10 over the meeting costs, as my center will take any of the coupons.

[quoted text clipped - 12 lines] > > Say what? <g Laura - 27 Nov 2004 17:21 GMT Our leader said today that some of the areas that currently charge 9.95 will see a price increase in January. We won't be impacted ourselves as we are already pretty high in price.

I can understand the different price in MA as they used to be part of Fiore's Franchise until sometime last fall and could charge anything they want to. But I would have expected the storefronts that are part of WW International to be all priced the same.
