These are those GIANT mushrooms that folks make sandwiches out of....

They just looked so inviting at Costco the other day.  Made one for
lunch and put Mango Salsa (also Costco) on top, along with a baked
potato from the other night.

We await SAT morning's results..... (G)

I know I know.....
The think is they say 3 "small" have 0. Well. Those do come in a variety
that is more or less the size of a regular white mushroom, called "baby"
portabellas. The big ones vary in size quite a bit, but if you chopped the
big ole bugger up would there be more than a half cup 9 calories, or perhaps
a whole cup 18 calories... That mushroom is not going to do anything unless
you sprayed a gallon of olive oil on the George...

They were really good - one more in the fridge.  Simple grilling
without any oil.  One with just salt and pepper - perfect, too.

These really were splendid specimens.

Altho, at a dinner I attended on Sat night, someone did a more fancy
job of slicing and marinading and they were superb but I'm sure more
points (G)

I love them but must monitor all mushrooms as they cause me to have
migraines, there isn't much better than grilled, Lee
