dinner is over. I'm stuffed. I probably gained back the 2 pounds that
the scale said I lost this morning. At least I know that I can do it.

One more buffet to go. We are going to a breakfast buffet (like i really
need more food right now) but they have fresh fruit and egg beaters for
omelettes. I think I can do better at this meal than tonight's buffet
dinner.

For new years we have decided to stay home and do a Boiled New England
dinner (corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots) instead of going to
another buffet dinner. We'll get some old movies at Blockbuster and mom
can visit with her friend that we have invited to dinner. We can see the
fireworks at midnight from the back yard so we're all set to go for New
Years eve. Much easier for me to stay OP. For me, buffets are killers.

Yes, every time I go near a buffet, I lose a week or two ;). The thing is,
there are 52 in each year, so the net effect is negligible.

I did gain back the 2 pounds I'd lost yesterday but I did good this
morning at the buffet. I had an omlette made with egg beaters, tomato,
mushrooms, ham and a bit of cheese. I did also say no oil so he used a
cooking spray instead. I did splurge and had a slice of bacon and some
roasted potatoes. Just a scoop, not a whole plateful. And fruit. They
had bosenberries the size of walnuts. So yummy. I'll eat light the rest
of the day to compensate.

I love buffets, they are problems from time to time, I do fine if I work up
to it, but if it is a surprise then I struggle, Lee, liking the fruit aspect
of buffets

LOL or in my case, the "off-button" gets turned on only AFTER the point
where I just want to lay down and die from the stomach ache... hate that
feeling. You can be eating along and *poof*... ouch... I'm full. I hate
buffets!!!  No, I take that back, I HATE that I LOVE buffets so much!

sounds like you are being realistic, and your NY celebration sounds lovely,
Lee, who would have more trouble at your house than a buffet, I LOVE that
meal

I love that meal too. I fill up on cabbage and potatoes and only have a
small amount of the meat.
