INTL week 7: up 0.8 to 177.0 (Goal = 170)
GEC week 8: 5 curves sessions

Time to get back on track! I think I am having problems getting back on
track since the 2 weeks of different eating at mom's. I'm not eating poorly
or in excess but I can't seem to get that scale moving downward again so I'm
doing something wrong. I am going to be more careful about my portions this
week as well as journal religiously so that I can share it with my leader
next Saturday. Our meeting today concentrated on our eating "comfort zone"
so I am going to practice this also. Maybe this will help keep my portions
under control. I know that my body is out of whack hormonally as TOM still
has not appeared since early November. Could be meanie-pause or something
else. I am pushing 50 so anything is possible. My leader said this could be
contributing too.

Well it is snowing right now. Lots of snow expected. Could be up to 18" of
snow by morning. So anyone in the direct path of this latest storm-keep warm
and be safe. Have a wonderful week.

Sorry to hear about your gain this week.  Time to get down to business
and do as you say....journal, most importantly - then you'll see what it
is you've been doing that has made this week unsuccessful.  I've been having
a similar problem for the last year or so, but then I haven't been
journalling
as I should have.  The last 3 weeks I have been making sure that I journal
EVERYTHING and it has given me a new look at what I've been
doing that I shouldn't have.  I know that this will probably get a response
from
"you know who", but journalling religiously and drinking my quota of WATER,
have led to me being down 2 lbs since WI on Monday.  I know that could
change between now and my next WI on Monday, but it's been the same
for the last few days and hasn't fluctuated, so unless I blow it over the
weekend
I can probably safely say I'm at 195.

Glad to hear about your 2 pound <expected> loss. Here's hoping that it stays
down or goes down further.

I have been journaling from day one. There are things that I probably have
*forgotten* to include on the list. One of the things from this mornings
meeting is to only eat when hungry. That's my goal for the week. It
certainly will eliminate my evening snack since we tend to eat a hearty
dinner most evenings. She suggested herbal tea or a SF hard candy if my
cravings hit around 9pm. I'm typically having a core snack but if I am not
hungry then I should not have it in the first place. This is going to be the
hard part-its truely a bad habit that I need to break.

Be nice if it went down further, but I don't expect it to this week.

I found myself conveniently *forgetting* to journal some things as well,
then
one thing led to another and before I knew it I wasn't journalling at all.
The
result...I gained back 28 of the 37 lbs. I lost in 2003.  I was doing so
well
and it just took a minimum of time before I was completely off the program
and right back where I was before!

I usually have an evening snack, although last night I had just enough
points
left after dinner to have a slice of blueberry pie for dessert - I even took
off
the top crust and the thick piece at the side and just ate the filling and
the
bottom crust.  Another NSV for me!  Then I had no snack in the evening.
Actually I went and climbed into bed with my son, read him a book and
we both promptly fell asleep!  Helps avoid the evening snacks ;-)

You on the east coast?  We got 10+ inches here in south NJ.  Though I have
been sick for over a week with bronchitis, with hubby at work I shoveled
about 30-40 minutes to clear off what he hadn't last night.  So I got a day
of exercise in this week, not my goal but considering how I have felt, I
feel ok with one day.

Hi neighbor. I'm in Central NJ up near Princton. We got around 15". Hope you
feel better soon. I am leaving the snow shoveling to DH. Everytime I try and
help him I get yelled at.  Seems I don't know what I am doing. <g>

I won't drive in the snow, to many idiots that think a SUV means they don't
have to be careful.  So I wait and DH takes me where I need to go.  He took
me shopping again this morning before napping for night work tonight.  Pork
Loin, shrimp and whole chickens were all on sale and it is the only store I
can find Ground Boca at.  Seems I went over the food budget again, sigh, but
I got enough meat for over a month now in the freezer.  Then we hit the
produce store and spent more.  He said, hummm, you spend less when you shop
alone.  I said I know, I only buy what is on the list, you like to add in
other things.  But since they are healthy things and we do usually need
them, I don't complain at all.  He helps with the cooking also.

and you have been losing quite good for the last bit, your body may just be
taking a break, Lee

That is possible too. I know that while I have slowed down in the losing
department my measurements have gone down faster. This has helped me not get
upset at the last 2 week's WIs. 5 pounds in 2 months is very slow for me but
4.25 inches in that time is a record for me.

I think my eating got out of hand because I could not get totally OP after
the xmas break. I'm doing better this week. I'm watching what and WHEN I
eat. I think this last part might make a big difference. I'm keeping my
fingers crossed.

Thank you. I think Curves is really paying off in that department.

I have lost very little weight in the past few months but my size keeps
going down so working out is positive, if aggravating thing, Lee
