This week was a great week weight-loss wise: 2.5 kg (5.5 lb). But I
hesitate to draw any general conclusions based on this week because it
was very hectic, and my eating patterns were really erratic.
So part of this may be due to the changes I made to Core (for example:
eliminating some iffy foods I was snacking on, making sure I limit
protein portions to about 200 gm per meal, and not considering beef as
part of Core) and some is probably due to just being unusually busy and
not eating much this week. :)
Anyway, I'll take the loss.
So this makes 3 kg (6.6 lb) lost total these last three weeks on WW Core.
Atkins: 131 -> 119.5 then a 15 month stall
WW Core: 119.5 -> 116.5 and counting
Total loss to date: 14.5 kg (32 lb)

Great job. Maybe your hecticness and tweaks to the program really paid off.
I'll be very interested to see if you can repeat another great loss next
week.

Sounds good for the moment. Tweaking is what it is all about, even on
Points programs. One needs to find foods that fill the stomach voids
and provide sufficient nutrients without driving binge behaviors.

Doug, I'm so thrilled for you! I hope this has given you a boost because
I know you were feeling down about your slow loss. Congratulations!
Thanks to your post, I'm actually being a little more careful about
things like meat in my diet - today for instance I was supposed to have
pork according to the program I'm following, but I looked carefully and
realised it was only 3oz of pork! (Most of the recipes you don't have to
be particularly careful to cut back portion sizes so I don't normally
take any notice of recommended serving sizes). By contrast, I could have
6oz of chicken. So guess what I'm having for dinner? ;)
I'm also being a little more vigilant at tracking and watching those low
cal snacks that can so add up if you don't pay attention.
So thanks for sharing and keep going!

Well done! Hopefully with your tweaks you'll get good results every week :)

So...maybe you should keep up the hectic??? LOL Good for you! My guess
is that getting rid of some of those iffy foods is responsible for a
lot of your loss. Keep up the good work!

Nicely done, Doug! Sometimes it's better not to reason why the scale says
what it says, it just makes things more confusing...lol!
