After half heartedly trying to get back on track after the holidays... and
having my work schedule explode... I finaly decided to give core an honest
try...
Didn't work out at all this last week (cause of said exploding schedule..I'm
working on that) and still lost 1.8 lbs !!!
What d'you know ? it works !
Don't take me wrong, I loved flex and was very successful loosing weight and
maintaining with it.. but I needed something new.. I'm having a blast !

Good luck with Core. I really enjoy it. I just gave up on it this week but
am trying to stick as close as possible to core. DH refuses to cook core
dinners all of the time so I ended up using too many WPAs but still not
enough points to keep losing. <go figure>

I'm lucky that opposite number likes plain food. In fact - he prefers
it...so Core is just too easy around these parts.

DH is too picky. Hates chicken so it has to be smothered in something. Meats
we are okay with. His meatloaf recipe uses meatloaf mix. 8pts per 4oz and
that's without anything like eggs, milk or breadcrumbs added. yikes.
Defintely not core. So in the end I was using a lot of WPAs for my meals and
having trouble getting in enough points. I stopped losing.

I make a Core meatloaf using ground turkey, oatmeal, tomato sauce,
garlic, 1 egg and sage. I think it tastes just as good as the stuff I
used to make with ground beef, but I understand that it's difficult
for some people to wrap their heads around the idea of ground turkey
or chicken when they're used to beef.

I wouldn't mind meatloaf using lean beef. The meatloaf mix he insists on is
beef+pork+veal. G*d only knows what % beef they are using. Certainly not
lean.

I'm glad you like Core. I think I'm the only one at my meeting doing
it - for some reason everybody seems to think it's too liberal and
they're afraid of it. I've tried telling them that 'eat until
satisfied' doesn't mean 'until you feel like a stuffed hog' but they
won't listen. And that's fine - I'm just happy they created Core for
me...LOL

Hey, weigh to go, Willow. That's a very nice loss. Congratulations.

Thanks, I tried to create a new post, but I don't know why it ended up in
someone else's post...since I am new to this, I don't really know what the
heck I am doing, btw...at the WI I stayed the same, but way better than
gaining..which I was happy about. Today I started a more intense workout so
hopefully this works.
