Congrats on that loss. I think shaking it up might be part of what
works. Core for a bit, flex for another bit, back to core. Hey,
watching and thinking helps - PERIOD.
Ray keeps saying it over and over - you have to balance what goes in
with what you burn either in a slow paced life or with exercise as
part of the deal.
Calories in = calories out.
I think core might help avoid some of the sugar urges or other trigger
foods but also might be too much pressure to be perfect - like you
say, your husband is not bound by the program and if he finds core
boring and won't cook that way, than YOU can at least control portions
of imperfect food.

That's my thought too. I can control portions/points but I can't control my
husband. I gave up on that idea years ago <g>.
I am making a concentrated effort to make sure that a minimal amount of
processed foods get eaten. I LIKE not having food cravings. I'm not afraid
to use my points on fruit instead of junk. This is a valuable lesson that I
learned by doing the Core program. I think that I can continue my core-like
flex for a long time. I don't mind counting points as I think it keeps me
more aware of my eating which is a good thing.
