Well, DH and the 2 youngest DS went camping this past weekend, oldest DSS
stayed home but hid out in his bedroom.  While they were gone, I danced with
my music up for over an hour and then continued dancing while cleaning the
whole house.  Since the boys do the bathroom and vaccuuming usually, it is
seldom I get to do it so I went to town and cleaned the way I want to.
Teaching them to clean and handle responsibilities makes me bite my tongue a
lot cause it is not always done the way I would do it.  This week it was.
Yesterday my DS wanted to take his girlfriend to dinner for Valentine's Day,
they chose Old Country Buffet.  Knowing this going in, I had my 2 point
breakfast and then just munched on raw mushrooms and celery until they were
ready to go, then grabbed DH and we left.  While there I was pointing what I
ate, knowing I had most of my points to use.  I used a total of 15.  I got a
piece of strawberry swirl cake and when I went to eat it, it tasted just way
to sweet.   So DH took it and ate it for me.  I sat and enjoyed my apple
crisp.  I have found that when things are too sweet I just can't eat them
well.  So my tastes are sure changing.
Before I started WW, way back in 88 when  I had lost both my parents to
colon cancer, I stopped frying foods and cut way back on beef.  When DH and
I got together, I continued to cook this way, but also took into account his
high cholesterol(it runs in his family).  We got his Ch down a bit by diet
and are now trying to get it lower by exercise also.  We both want him
staying off meds as long as he can since they affect the liver and in his
job working in the refinery, liver troubles are common, we don't want
anything more that could affect his liver.
All he wanted for Christmas this year was for me to lose 10 pounds.  Well I
finally made it and am now dropping further.
Thing is DH is still lower than me, he makes it a contest to stay below me
in weight which is fine with me cause it is helping us both learn a
healthier lifestyle.  Now that he is back in the office again, twice a week
he rides the bike for an hour.  For him that is a lot of exercise.  Of
course when the weather gets better, it is gardening season again and then
we start fighting over who gets to mow the lawn.  He always uses the excuse
that since it effects my allergies, HE should be allowed to.  Only time I
get to do it is if I get it done when he is at work.

Great BIG NSV. I like the competion that you 2 have going. Certainly will
keep you motivated.

As for the lawn can you split/alternate the job? Or the other walks with the
one pushing the mower. That way both of you benefit from the exercise.
