INTL week 11: -1.0 to 174.8
GEC week 12: 5 curves sessions
Well I finally made 70 pounds lost. My next mini goal is 170.6 for 75 lost
by Easter.
Going back to Flex seems to be the right move. This is my second week with a
loss. This has not happened since xmas. It will take a major miracle for me
to reach my INTL goal of 170 at this point but that's okay. The fact that I
am losing again is the important thing.
I am also trying something different this week. My daily tracker is now
Dinner-breakfast-lunch. This is to try and eliminate the need to eat an
evening snack just because I have the points to do so. It is not uncommon
that I end up with 3 or 4 points left over after dinner. I hate having to
eat these points because I HAVE to. I'd rather use them at meals when I am
hungry. Since I can't always predict what's for dinner starting my tracker
off with dinner seems logical. It may mean that the following breakfast and
lunch are light because I had a high point dinner but I can deal with that.
Plus lately one of my meals out has been lunch so having lunch as the last
meal on the tracker works too. I know how many points I have left for the
day and can opt to use flex points (or not) for that meal. Plus if we are
having a late dinner I can have an afternoon snack without impacting the
number of points available for dinner that night as my tracker day starts
over with dinner. Kind of strange and is taking getting used to but so far
it seems doable.
In the NSV department, I went to Kohl's yesterday after WW looking for short
sleeved shirts. All of the SS tops I have are 1X and are getting baggy. They
are fine for wearing to Curves but not for wearing out in public. I need
clothes that fit nicely for when we go to mom's in Florida at the end of
March for easter break. I have some long sleeved XL tops that fit nicely so
I was planning on buying some SS XL tops. I decided to try on the Large
instead of automatically buying the XL (I hate trying on clothes). Low and
behold they FIT! So I bought a few of them in different styles. I also tried
on a pair of size 16 capris. They fit too but I did not buy them as they
were too long. I think I need to buy pants in the petites department but I
was out of time at this point. Next trip or next sale day ;-)

Thank you Elaine. I love clothing NSVs too. I just wish I had more money to
be able to generate more of them. <g>

HEY, CONGRATS on the loss and the total loss. Slowly but surely
onward and downward.... I like the meal order journal switch. It has
been talked about at my meetings. good luck with the shakeup

Thanks Fred. It certainly has been a while since I lost 2 weeks in a row.
I'll try anything to keep things interesting. I am also trying to vary the
number of points each day. Sort of like the wendie plan.
This starting with dinner is an interesting concept. I think it may actually
give me more control of my points. A large dinner can easily be compensated
for by a light breakfast and lunch. Likewise I know going into my lunch out
exactly how many points I have to use. Only time will tell if my thoughts on
paper can become a reality.

Wow, Laura.... that's great! I really like your creative approach to
tracking in a way that makes more sense to your lifestyle. I'll have to
remember that. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Cynlyn. This is going to be an interesting experiment. I'm also
incorporating a wendie plan approach so that I alternate target only days
with days where I use my flex points in a controlled approach. Only time
will tell.

Well done on the loss and NSV, good thinking with rearranging your tracker
sounds like a really good idea.

Thanks. This rearranged tracker is proving to be interesting. Its strange
having lunch as my last meal of the day. It does give me opportunity to have
an afternoon snack if I find myself short on points like I did today. The
family was going to taco bell for a very late lunch so I opted to get a taco
without cheese for 4 points. I actually still have a point left for the day
but I will let it go at this point. Dinner is in another hour.
