Hey all,

I'm currently 4 hours and 43 minutes into my 24 hour World Vision famine -
24 hours without food, sponsored to raise money for children who have been
orphaned by HIV/Aids.

I get to raise money for a good cause, and it sure is a good way not to eat
your points! *grin*  And with them I can have an extra specially nice dinner
tomorrow night to congratulate myself too - hurrah!

Still, you know how it......if you're told you can't have something
then.......well.......I'm STARVING! LOL!  I don't think I've ever drunk so
much fruit tea......

4 hours 52 minutes done............19 hours 8 minutes to go.......... :)

Good on you Krys! What a great cause. You know when I was in school
(Australia) we did the same thing, except it was called the World Vision 40
hour famine. I wonder if its been changed to 24 hours, or if there is a 40
hour version still. I tell you what - 40 hours without food was killer - 24
hours would be bad enough!

Good luck getting to the end!

Thanks guys :)  I made it - though it was harder than I remember it being.
And lunch was yummy when it finally came to it.

Interesting tho'.  I only had my usual lunch - nowt special - and by then
I'd have eaten nigh on anything.  It made me realise what a change it was to
be looking forward to a meal just because it was food.  Normally the only
time I'm actively looking forward to a meal is when there's something
special about it - a night out, a new recipe, whatever......  I guess what
I'm trying to say is that it sorta highlighted how much we take what we have
for granted.

There you go.  24 hours done.  And those few extra points meant I could have
WW pizza for tea :)  Now to collect in the money and send it off where it
deservedly belongs.

I know you'll have one or two introspectives to share when this is done, and
I'm looking forward to every one of them : )

Well done, krys!
