INTL wk 12: up 0.2 to 175.0
GE wk 13: 5 Curves sessions

Next challenges:
Choose to Lose (CTL): start 175.0 Goal 165.6
Totally Groovy (TG): 3 sessions

I'm not totally sure what caused this little blip this week. I had a bunch
of flex points left over so it is not a question of too much food. Playing
with my points each day like the wendie plan did not work either. I guess
I'll have to mess around with my menus some more this week to shake things
up a bit. I also know that I have not been drinking enough water the past
couple of days. I do Curves each day at 9:30am so I am careful how much
coffee/water I consume before my session. So most of the morning is gone
without my drinking some water. I got to start bringing some water with me
to curves to drink while I am doing my moring errands. That will help get
some water consumed before lunchtime.

I did strain my ankle last week so I have not been as active this week as I
should have been. This week I promise to work diligently on cleaning out the
basement but I will wear my ankle support while I do. Hopefully we won't get
too much snow Monday/Tuesday to interfere with my trucking to the dumpster
with junk.

Weightloss can be such a fickle thing; +.2 hardly registers. I'm sorry
to hear about your ankle strain. Be sure not to make it worse with the
cleaning you've planned.

Thanks Linda. It has been very frustrating these past 2+ months. Something
is not right at the moment. But I'll keep trying.

Hang in there, Laura.  An injury can definitely make a difference in your
activity level... but getting healthy is more important that keeping up with
your usual routine.  You can intensify it later when you're feeling whole
again.

Thanks cynlyn. I thought the ankle was getting better but it is hurting
again this morning. I put on the ankle support so I guess I need to start
wearing it again.

That .2 is probably just water gain.  It'll be gone by next week.
Hope that ankle gets better soon.

Thanks Brenda. I'm hoping that is all that it was. My eating is fairly under
control and I certainly did not go over in points.

Thank you Ophidium.

Hey Laura, sorry you hurt your ankle. I just wanted to wish you well on
getting that little gain off this week and also mention a group that you may
be able to post your unwanted junk to. (You know, they always say one
person's trash is another one's treasure, right?)

http://www.freecycle.org

It's a group set up to keep things out of the landfills. However, if you
truthfully DO have junk and trash, it may not be worth it to anyone but you
never know! Here's what the website says about it.

The FreecycleT Network was started in May 2003 to promote waste reduction in
Tucson's downtown and help save desert landscape from being taken over by
landfills. The Network provides individuals and non-profits an electronic
forum to "recycle" unwanted items. One person's trash can truly be another's
treasure!

Might be something to check out, I've gotten and gotten rid of quite a few
things here in my city.

I joined our counties Freecycle group last month. Great site. So far I have
unloaded a bunk bed, some books and some kitchen stuff. I just answered a
post for someone looking for a sewing machine cabinet/table. I have a very
old one in the basement. It will be nice to get rid of that. I think all of
my trips up and down the basement stairs plus 6 days a week at curves has
been a strain on my ankle.

We always take everything to the local Goodwill.  I have a box I keep in the
basement that the kids know is for Goodwill.  Then when they outgrow or
don't want something any more it goes in the box.  Makes it a lot easier
when it comes to cleaning out the basement.  DH and I decided that when the
oldest moves out the youngest is getting his room and we will move upstairs
to the master bedroom again.  then our BR downstairs will become the gym and
moving box place.  We plan on packing up boxes in the next 6 years and run
them out to the retirement home when vacations come.  Since right now there
is nothing on the land, I suggested that a building of some sort be put
before we move stuff out there.  I got a big grin and a 'of course hon' and
then he continued on with what can go out early.  It is nice seeing him so
excited about retiring even though it is still 6 years away.

All of our outgrown clothing goes to the Goodwill or something similar.
There are bins behind our WW storefront so I can easily drop clothes off
when I go to ww. Very convenient.

The bulk of the stuff in the basement is just that--JUNK. Old sports
equipment, broken TVs, etc that DH shoves down there instead of taking to
the dumpster. Now getting him to help me is next to impossible. He keeps
saying we have 4 months to get the basement cleaned out. But if I don't push
him now, it will never get done. I don't want to pay for a dumpster when we
move. I'd rather fill up the common dumpsters a little every week instead.
It will be easier to do some of this when the weather gets warmer. Its too
cold to be constantly trucking the stuff to the far end of the parking lot
where the dumpster is located. I think I will just concentrate on sorting
out the stuff that people might want and post them on freecycle and get rid
of them first. Then the rest can slowly go to the dumpster. That will also
save me trips up & down the steps until my ankle heals.
