A very busy week. I was out of town over the weekend
and worked some overtime during the week and that's not
to mention the three chapters I had to read for my
Thursday night class.

Still managed to lose .6 pounds. Can't imagine how.

I think I blew it tonight by going to dinner with my
best friend. Cuban restaurant. I had vegetarian paella
which was goooood. Had a little too much wine. The
bright spot was when the waitress came by and asked if
I'd actually eaten any of the food. The portions at
this place are tremendous. In fact, I have enough
leftovers to make at least two more meals. I was full
so it was kind of cool to know that I was satisfied
after apparently eating very little of the dish.

I may gain a little this week, but I'm okay with it
because I enjoyed myself. I'm in this weight loss thing
for the long haul and sometimes, you need to just throw
caution to the wind and indulge.

It helped that I went shopping this morning and bought
size 10 clothes. Down from size 14. :-)

Thanks. It's been difficult for me, too, having been
raised to "clean my plate."

I used to be disgusted. Now I try to be amused.

Busy keeps me out of the snacks!

Well done!

Yikes!  I hate to think how big the portions are!

Absolutely!

Oh, those clothing NSV'as are fantastic!  I'm buying UK 14's and M's and
occasional S's rather than size 22-24, XL's and the like!  :)

It does me too, but it also makes grab for the fast
stuff rather than cooking.

Huge. Not only did I take home enough for two meals,
but I split my leftovers with my friend and she had
enough for two meals. Plus, we split her leftovers too.
I have enough food for dinner for the next week.

Excellent! It's a good feeling, isn't it?

That was a nice loss considering that you were out of town.
Congratulations, Circe

Good loss, considering Circe! WTG! Cuban, hmmm, don't have one of those
restaurants around here but it sounds pretty good. Good luck to you this
week!

Thanks. I'll need it as I'm going out of town again
this coming weekend. And yes, Cuban food is wonderful
and not as greasy as, say, Mexican.

I will never see size 10.  Never did in fact, went right past it as a kid
and young adult without stopping.  My hip and shoulder bones are broad and
even though I once had some size 16 hang on me, I needed that size to get
over the bones.  Go figure, sigh.  Well, now I will be happy to get to 14-16
and stay there.
