Hi guys, for those of you that remember me, I'm back yet again. I was
without a computer for 3 months (which totally sucked) and was
struggling with being on program that whole time.

I've decided to start from scratch, as of yesterday. I have a couple
of friends to report into as needed which hopefully will help keep me
going. DH and I are setting up a reward schedule for mini goals, and
I'm feeling good. I've cut back on my commitments and I'm feeling
better than I have all year. I've also been having a lot of periods of
irregular heart activity lately as well, which gives me an important
reason to get this weight off and stick to a healthy diet.

I bought myself some fancy scales 2 weeks ago, got a great bargain
too. The only problem with them is that they weigh about 7 kilos
(15ish lbs) heavier than my old scales so my first weigh-in wasn't
pretty. Still, seeing my weight over 100 kilos again is another much
needed kick in the butt.

I'll stop now before I write a short novel. It's great to be back
again. I missed you guys.

hi erin,
I amnewly recommitted to WW too.
it's the only plan that permits all foods. I can't *do* deprivation.
I have to be focused on journaling (helped in the past)
and making a plan of what I will eat at work.
I work with food, so it's constant temptation-but I do have lowfat
healthy choices available.
Good Luck and stick with it,

I can't either. The more I think I can't have something, the more I
want it. I always save a point or two per day for treats.

I do the same. I plan my dinner and have lunch and afternoon tea based
on the points value of dinner.

Thanks Teresa, same to you :-)

Same here, they say I have a problem with autority.. maybe *grin* but I NEED
to be able to decide what I put in my mouth !

That's what I'm trying to do.. my problem is always lunch, working for WW I
work on lunch time and dinner time.. so I have to plan very seriously to not
get starved and eat too much when I finaly get to eat !

LOL. I hate being told what to do. I get really stroppy and defiant if
people try telling me what to do/eat/wear. I once had a boyfriend who
tried to forbid me from buying coloured jeans. I didn't really want
any but I went and bought two pairs just to spite him...lol...

I have a similar problem. If I get too hungry I end up wanting to eat
anything and everything. I also get *very* grumpy. I'm reaching that
point now. I looked after a friends son today so didn't get any
grocery shopping done. I have no idea what I'm going to cook for
dinner and I'm so not in a cooking mood.

Thanks Willow. We'll all get there if we help each other through the
rough spots.

Thanks Laura. DH is very supportive, although is not at all hard on me
for having put the weight back on. I don't think I could do this
without him.

Thanks Nathalie. I'm feeling really positive. I'm trying to set up an
environment that is conducive to weight loss, taking more time for
myself and making sure there are lots of yummy healthy foods in the
house.

Welcome back, Erin. It sounds like you're in a much better place,
emotionally and mentally, and also have the support of friends and DH.
I'm sure you'll do well. Post when you can. I always like to hear what
you're up to down in New Zealand.

Thanks Linda, the support I get from this group is important as well.
You guys rule :-)

Hi Erin!  I was wondering where you have been.  It's nice to have
you back.  I've been struggling for awhile to stick to the program too,
so I know where you're coming from.  Good luck!

program yourself :-)

And now we have a trifecta - you, Amberle and Lee all in one go!  Being
without a computer would really suck.  We have around 10 in the house so
I don't think that's going to happen to me any time soon....

Good to see you have the support of DH too.  Less commitments means that
you have more time to focus on yourself and making you happy.  That's
got to be a good thing.

Ugh.  Changing scales is always traumatic.  I don't have a regular
meeting anymore and I swear the two meeting places that I laternate
between have different scale calibrations.  Luckily my scale at home
seems to be pretty constant.  Anyway, it's not the number that counts so
much as the difference between last week and this week.

I never thought it would happen to me either, we have 3 of the damn
things...lol... My computer is flaky and kept dying and the laptop was
in being fixed, and the idiots kept screwing up. I can't understand
how it can take someone 3 months to get a laptop completely up and
running again.

It's a very good thing, for my entire family. My son starts kindy in a
few weeks which is going to give me 5 mornings a week all to myself,
and in the meantime we're enjoying being at home together with no
pressure to be anywhere. I'm still working at the Riding for the
Disabled but I've cut back to one full day a week. Twice a week was
just getting to be too much. I got burned out and decided it wasn't
worth it and it was time to start thinking of myself again.

I figured it's what direction the numbers go in that really matters. I
measure myself as well and it's those numbers that really matter. As
long as my clothes are getting looser then the scale isn't really that
important.

Hey girl!!!

Thanks for this... I know, it's been awhile again since I've shown up here
but I've recommitted (again) and have almost lost five pounds in a month!
I'll take it! As long as I'm "fat" I'll never give up! :)
