Hey everyone!

So very, very sorry for being absent for so long!  Life managed to
rear up and bite me on my generous behind and before I knew it weeks
had passed!

My weight has pretty much remained the same.  I've started increasing
the exercise and will continue to up the amounts little by little up
to the wedding, and then will have to get back into the habit after
everything has gone back to "normal".  I love working at home, it
means I can schedule my exercise in during the day.  I've been doing
stability ball exercises late morning, the recumbent bike in the
afternoon and then a 30-45 minute walk in the evenings.  On Monday (or
maybe the weekend) I'll add in aerobics first thing in the morning.
The only difficulty with that is dragging myself out of bed that
early!

I'm so glad we're going with the Vegas wedding thing.  It's hard
enough to plan a wedding this way, I think I'd be under far too much
stress doing it the "regular" way!  As it is we're a week past the
RSVP deadline and half the guests haven't responded yet.  Thankfully I
put an early deadline to account for those people that mail the cards
(we also have an online RSVP option).  90% of those that haven't
responded are members of DFi's extended family.  He has had a whopping
2 tasks for this wedding:  1) Call his parents to find out what's
going on with the extended family and which of the nonresponders are
likely to be coming and 2) Call the reception restaurant to talk to
them about menu substitutions to accommodate allergies.  He was
supposed to call his mother Monday and hasn't yet.  He was supposed to
call the restaurant about 4 weeks ago and still hasn't.  I finally
emailed them last night and asked them to call him!  I'd hate to think
of what would happen if he were responsible for other details.

The wedding itself is basically all planned out.  There's one minor
arrangement to make with each of the photography and the flowers, the
reception restaurant has to be told the final number of guests
(they're okay with getting that number as late as a week before) and
the cake has to be ordered.  Thankfully Vegas is used to last-minute
things and we can even order the cake as late as the day before!
Amazing.  My dress is another matter - because my weight loss has
stalled there's no way the dress will fit as-is.  That's what I get
for buying a dress 15 years before the wedding!  But I think I can
alter it sufficiently - I have an idea that doesn't require drastic
alterations to the dress and will allow for adjustments in sizing as
we go along, so I think that will work.  The seamstresses (the good
ones anyway) are of course all booked up for wedding season.
Fortunately for me I've been sewing since I was 5 and used to make
most of my own clothes, and since the idea that I have in mind isn't
too complex or fitted I think I should be able to do it myself.

Actually KATE - if you're reading this - do you mind if I email you to
see what you think?

So that's basically been it in a nutshell.  I have an aunt that's been
in and out of the hospital.  Wedding plans seem to overshadow pretty
much everything else.  I've had a few cranky clients, but they were
cranky before the wedding stuff so I think they would have been cranky
anyway!

So glad to have you back, Amberle! Wow your life has been so busy...
I have not been reporting in for the challenge, but could you note down the
weight in my sig as my latest weight ? I seem to have stalled, but that 's
OK, as long as I don't gain I m' kind of fine with this.

Oh wow, there you are!  Welcome back :)  Wedding plans always seem
stressful no matter how you do it.  I've not got any personal
experience, but that's how it looks from the outside!  I wish you luck
and hope to see you around more.
