I am thinking of joining WW again... but been having some tough things
going on in my life lately and have been enjoying alcoholic beverages
in the evenings... is it possible to follow the program, and yet still
imbibe and be more careful with the food? I realize it not "healthy
or advisable" - but is it possible or unrealistic? Please no
lectures...
TIA

Yes it is possible, but if you follow the Flexipoints program you have
to count points for every alcoholic beverage you drink as you have to
do for every item you eat or drink.

I have an ounce of brandy every evening. I count my points for it and
incorporate into my daily food plan, and I'm losing weight. Yes, it's
possible.

It is possible and if you are dealing in moderation you might lose slower
but you will at least not gain, and if you are following the program and
eating better the need for the beverages mad decrease and that would help
you as well, Lee, no lectures from me, rum is 2 points a jigger

I try to have ice tea and sparkling water during week days but on Friday
through Sunday, I have wine with dinner. It has never effected my
weight loss. When I first went on WW more than 30 years ago I abstained
from alcohol. After making lifetime I had a glass of wine and I was
totally tipsy. The bottom line of what makes me gain weight is too much
food and not enough exercise. If portions are controlled, alcohol fits
in like anything else.
