Hi all,

Sorry haven't posted in a while.  I wanted to tell you that as of my weigh
in last Tuesday, I had made my initial 10% goal-I have lost 23.2 pounds!  I
got my keychain, and everyone at my "WW At Work" program made me make a
speech.  I was a little embarassed because I don't like to be in the
spotlight so to speak, and I can't even remember what I said.  Something
like taking one meal at a time or something like that.  LOL!

On the gym note...I have been going pretty regularly-doing weights and
cardio.  I get discouraged about the cardio sometimes, because it seems that
I wind up getting this horrible blister on the back of my heel because the
back of my sneakers keep rubbing against my heel.  This usually only happens
if I am on the treadmill.  Because of this, I am mainly using the recumbent
(sp?) bike which doesn't bother my feet.  I plan to go to a specialty shoe
store so I can get fitted by a professional for some good sneakers.  I
usually have gone to a sporting goods store like Sports Authority in the
past, but I am obviously not picking out the right sneakers.  It is very
frustrating...I remember sneakers being so comfortable to wear before.  I am
on my third pair of sneakers that I spent lots of $$ on but can't wear!!
Very frustrating.....

Anyway, sorry for the rambling.  Does anyone know what the next goal is
after you lose the first 10%?  My leader didn't say anything, and I was too
distracted to ask (because I was so surprised I hit my 10%!)

Hope everyone else is doing well!!

My next goal was 16 weeks on the program.  But you do get stars for every 5
lbs, and fridge magnets for every 25 lbs.

Congratulations Sharon. Reaching the 10% goal is a thrill, if only to
prove to yourself that you can do this. Woo Hoo!

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S ! ! ! ! ! !

That's a great first step.

I did not pick a goal for quite a while and just went for an
ADDITIONAL 10%.

Sounds as if the sneakers (east coast, perhaps?) are too loose and
slip on your heel or too stiff in the sole and don't follow your foot
as it flexes allowing the heel to rub.

Well done on reaching that 10% ! That's such a milestone!
For the next goal : I calculated the next 10% and went from there. Or you
could set yourself a minigoal on a nice round number, like 190?

Congrats, that's fantastic news :-)

Good luck finding new sneakers, I find shopping for shoes to be one of
the worst things in the world. I get my sneakers professionally fitted
now, it's well worth any extra cost as the shoes fit well and last
longer.
