I'm glad that I finally got motivated about 2 months ago. I forgot how good
it felt to have my clothes fit right, as they are beginning to again now.
It was a decent week, down 2 pounds with 6 to go to get back to goal. Good
luck to everyone this week. Sorry I haven't been very vocal in this group
recently. Lots of family health problems (my mom just lost a lung to cancer)
but I am lurking around and getting the support I need.

Hi Glen, nice to see you. It is great to have clothes fitting comfortable
isn't it?
Well, this week you've had a good loss and next week will be good too!
Sorry to hear about your mom. My grandmother just lost much of her stomach
and most of her esophagus to cancer - she's still in the hospital (2 weeks
now). My
thoughts are with you....take care...

Your grandmother had a rough surgery. How is she recovering from it?

Linda, who thinks of you often, Brenda, and wonders how you're doing.

Yes, she did have a rough surgery. She seems to be recovering slowly, but
she is 75, so it's expected. Still a long road ahead though. They had to
remove
much of her stomach and most of her esophagus, so she will be going through
physio and probably have some trouble swallowing for awhile. I think she's
in for a long hospital stay as they won't be letting her out until she's
much better.
As for me...things are going well. I'm much more relaxed and less
irritable, which
is making my family very happy. I see the dr. again in two weeks to see how
things
are progressing.

Great loss this week, Glen, in any circumstances. With the family
health issues, that you're continuing to drop weight is remarkable.
Stress and/or hospital food spells disaster for me.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. I saw her yesterday and she appears to be
doing fine. She is cancer free for now and has to go to the oncologist in 2
weeks to start chemo. I won't let anything stop me from getting back to my
goal now that it is getting close again. Take care all.
