After what I felt was total excess this past week-end, I was extremely surprised
to see the scale provided me with a loss this week. A teeny one, but a loss is a
loss is a loss. And danged if thursday didn't show me with a much nicer one.
<sigh> I must have balanced things much better than I thought. This weeks
results:
official weight results: 161.7
loss/gain since last weighin: - 0.5
The kids popped in last nite unexpectedly, meant a quick carry in dinner .. which
was definitely not a healthy one. Burgers, fries, onion rings, etc. (only thing
the place offers). Oh well, deal with it and go on ... look at the bright side
... kids came to visit for no special reason. LOL I "think" I may have saved
myself somewhat as I had only eaten breakfast yesterday ... no time for lunch as
the time got away from me somehow. So after journaling, I kept in my points. And
tonite is already planned ... fish for dinner, not sure what hub will bring home
as we never know what the store will offer each week-end. I am hoping for shark
steaks, dang those are wonderful!
While the weight is creeping off very slowly, I am noticing my clothing fitting so
much better these days. I did break down and buy 2 pairs of capris, which are
already getting very loose. And I am back into jeans I bought in late January
that had become way too snug for comfort. I'm feeling slimmer these days too,
don't know why but I am. I continue to focus on the positive, it keeps the
motivation up.

Great loss this week Joyce. Great NSVs too: new clothes that are
already becoming loose. Clothes are often the better measure of our
progress than the scale.
Excessive weekends are troublesome for me as well. You recovered well
from yours, or as you say, balanced it out the rest of the week.
Focusing on the positive: that's the secret to happines I think.

Thanks Linda. It is a wonderful nsv for me, although getting a bit troublesome at
the moment. Current size is way to big, next size down is a tad snug yet ... not
bad but not as comfy as I prefer. Kids are telling me I'm very "hip" with the
saggy bottom look. <g>
Told my hub tonite that I am going to have icecream every nite now. My body is
massively confusing me. This week my weight has stayed within 1/10th of an ounce
for 5 days straight. Daughters bday was Thursday, threw caution to the wind and
made her favorite (requested) entree - full fat version this time as it really
isn't the same when I convert it. Since it was a special occassion, what the
heck. I did watch quantity, also made the fatfree hot fudge bday cake and only
had 1/2 of a piece. Next day ... up 1/10th pound. Ok, sometime wrong with the
new scale??? Last night dh was craving dairy queen and I love those moolattes -
lol. He came home with a huge monster size for me and gave me an evil grin (the
man is bad, bad news sometimes). Anyway, hit the scale this morning and the dang
thing whooshed down for me. If all goes well the rest of the week, I have broken
into the 150's with plenty of breathing room. Then again, maybe I've only gotten
back into the balancing routine.

My hiking friend refuses to hike with me when I'm in the "saggy
bottom" look. She thinks it is okay for her 27 year old son but NOT
for "this ol' guy!"

Half pound is nothing to sneeze at (where did that expression come
from (besides, currently my keyboard). Really, a nice loss.
Food happens. Move on. Shark steaks.... I think I tried some years
ago but recall them being tough?? I might have overcooked???

Good job on the loss, and on remaining within points target, even with the
unexpected visit.

Great job. Every little bit adds up. Its nice when the clothes are fitting
better even if the scale is not budging.
