Hello, i am new to the group.  I joined WW about a month ago weighing in at
293.  So far I've only lost 2 pounds, but I guess it's a start.  Still
trying to work off cravings.  That's the hardest part.  Just thought i'd
introduce myself.  My name is Mark by the way.

welcome mark, 2 pounds is a fine start, as long as you have stopped gaining
you are already ahead.  post often, Lee

Mark,
Welcome. I started about 3 years ago just a little bit less than your
start weight. I've taken my time but I got to 'normal' weight about a
year ago.
I use www.fitday.com to log all the foofd I eat. Apparently food
logging the best indicator of whether a person will succeed or not.

Good luck

Ray

Welcome Mark. The weight loss tools that have worked the best for me
are Journaling everything I eat by using an online tool such as
WeightWatchers Online or Fitday.com, and being an active participant
in this newsgroup. My weight loss motivation is highest when I'm
giving and receiving support here on a daily basis.

Hi Mark

I journal too and I try to plan a few days at a time to make sure I have
lots of good food in the house.  Remember it is not just one day at a
time but one hour at a time.
