Still it is a loss and that's a good thing.  I try to avoid salty
foods for about 2 days before my weigh in.   I'm down 2 lbs this week.
I weighed in at 138.2.  My ww goal is 127, but I hope to get to 120,
then I stop.

My ww goal is 146, not sure what my personal goal is yet depends on how I
feel and how DH says I look, Lee

Well I could probably go less than 120 as far as ww rules go, but I
want to stay in a weight zone that will still allow me to donate
blood, and I think the blood banks rules are either 110 or 115 lbs,
not sure which.

Donating blood isn't as scary as it sounds.  I try to go every other
month.  If I'm due to go in and miss they call me every week hounding
me till I do go in! \

I can't donate blood... something in my blood ain't right..

*grin* it's kinda funny.. the nurse at the Red Cross where I used to live
told me in front of everybody "You've got some weird stuff in your blood,
you can't donate until we figure it out"

Never got it totally figured out (I've been tested for HIV, hepatitis etc
etc all negative) but was just weird to have a whole room of people turn
toward me and stare.. *blush*

You had good intentions.  You tried and they turned you down.  They
turned my son down because he didn't weigh enough.  Not everyone can.
I understand that.

it is scary for those of us who have fear of needles, and for me, the last
time I had blood drawn for blood tests was the easiest, it didn't hurt
hardly at all, the guy got it the first time out and I still bruised on the
entire inside of my elbow where he stuck me, I mean like a three inch
circle.  so not only do I have abject fear of the needles but the aftermath
even when it is done properly is just very painful. Lee, survivor of over 18
surgeries

The funny thing about needles is that it never hurts me.. I can't recall
ever really hurting from it at any time.. but I'm always like... "oooooooo
this gonna hurt"

*rolls eyes* I'm neurotic what can I say..

I'm sorry you have had bad experiences with needles.  I do bruise
sometimes when they try to find the vein.  I guess I'm not afraid of
needles because there are so many diabetics in the family and I had to
learn how to give the insulin injections.

Are you serious about losing weight?  Or do you think it is a joke (that's
how your post sounds).

I lost 75 lbs with Weight Watchers, that was too thin... I gained back and
made my personal goal 130 (which I kept below of for 2 years)... now (after
a difficult year of buying a house, starting about 5 new jobs, having a
father in law sick for month and then dying) I'm 147.. and going down... I
have lung issues, heart issues, back issues and a knee who had 5 surgery
plus 1 exploratory thingy that can or not be counted as a surgery...

I grew up as a sport nut, and got to the point where when I offered to be in
a beach volleyball tournament my friends laughed and went "yeah right!". I
went to go diving with my friends and none of the used wetsuits would fit
me. I went to bungee jump (which I have done a few times) and was told I
wasn't in shape enough to do it...

For all those reasons, and many others, loosing weight is a very real and
serious issue for me.

That being said.. I refuse to stress over it. I refuse to freak about it..
and yes I do and will make light of it. Why? because this is a lifetime
thing. This is not a diet, this is something I'm going to do all my life..
and I do it the same way I do everything, with a laugh, at myself, at my
situation, at my success and even at my failures.. I learn from it, I laugh
it off and I'm on my way.. that's my way.. That's how I went through
sickness, life's challenges (and I had a lot of those) and everything else.

I write down everything that I eat religiously (after a few months of soso
I'm finaly back on my lifestyle again) I exercise regularly, I drink my
water, my milk (yuck) and do everything that I need to...

Finaly I'm also a leader for Weight Watchers. I teach the program and hope
to inspire people to do what they need so that they can succeed in their
efforts. I teach them to take the rules seriously, but to HAVE FUN !

If you feel caged in this program, if you feel like you're stuck.. or like
you're deprived you're doing it wrong.. if you're bored with this program,
overly stressed about it, or constantly feeling like a failure about it,
you're doing it wrong..

I'm finaly back on plan for real.. and enjoying every second of it !
