I wanted to share that I may not be as active for a while, yesterday at 9:05
the Vet helped my cat Miss Violette to the bridge when exploratory surgery
showed she had no chance of recovery from a virulent strain of aggressive
kidney cancer, I will try and read and post but am not sure how I will do
with daily tasks let alone news groups.. Take care, Lee
Willow - 23 Oct 2005 03:40 GMT
I'm sooo sorry Lee.. had to do that last fall..

It's a gift of love... to let them go peacefully and with dignity...

doesn't make it easier though.. *hugs n stuff*

I knew you would understand, and as hard as it was it was right to do it, I
am having odd responses to it though, this will just be another set of
lessons she teaches me, Lee

Oh Lee, how very very sad you must be feeling. I know how much you
loved and adored your dear animal friend. Please know I'm thinking
about you.

I'm sorry to hear this. I have a little house dog. We become so attached to
animals that its really hard to let them go. But it's the right thing to do
if they could suffer. I'm sure you will miss her company. I know I would miss
patsy something awful.

It is very hard as she had a routine that dared not be disturbed, I was used
to it and it has thrown my routine off more than a little, I know I did the
right thing but it still hurts, Lee, glad you have such a nice little friend
yourself

They do get routines. Animals can be so funny. I know patsy's bedtime is 10
to 11 pm and if were not ready for bed she will get up and just glare and
growl at us. Then she will go get in bed. And then when we do go to bed she
will be in the middle of the bed snoringlaying flat on her back.  And if you
move her she just growls.  Try to think of all the pleasure she gave you and
know that you repaid her by putting her best interest first.

Lee,
My thoughts are with you at this time.  We went though a similar thing last
spring with my Thumper.  He appeared in one of my dreams last night.

I am so sorry about your cat.  We lost our Missy 8 years ago and I still
miss him.  Yes him.  Our son was 3 at the time and wanted the cat name
Melissa, so we called him Missy, great big marmalade tom cat.  He was such a
treasure, our dog still goes to where Missy's litter box was and looks for
him.  They were great friends, when ever he sees an orange marmalade cat he
wants to play with it, no other colour though.

I wish you strength.

Poor Miss Violette.  Better she went when she did than suffered more,
however much you may have wanted her to stay.   ((((((HUGS))))))

We have lost two cats: Marmalade at 16 to kidney failure (died while we
were away for a week and a neighbour was looking after the mogs.  He
hid, or she'd have taken him to the vet, being a sensible pet owner
herself), and Muffin to a stroke or similar sudden end at 14, under his
favorite bush in the garden one night.  Despite our present two much
loved mogs, we still miss our original ratbag and his scallywag chum!
It's never easy.

My deepest sympathies for you, Lee, for the lose of a family member -
your cat. I know that you will miss her very much, but she is waiting
for you & will run & play with other that are waiting, until you join
her there. Take care of yourself during this stressful time.

Hi, Lee, It is hard to let our furry friends go.   Several years ago we were
owned by a beautiful tortoise shell who became sick overnight.  It turned
out to be kidney cancer.  We didn't want her to suffer and made the decision
to have her put down.  It is almost 8 years now and I still have tears in my
eyes when I think of her.
Hugs,
Catherine
