Hi,

I'm new to all of this so please bear with me. Years ago I joined
weight watchers (1989) back when they still had the exchanges. I
stopped going at that time but some years later I got engaged and
decided I was NOT going to be a fat bride. At that time I still
remembered all the exchanges and picked up the program again. I lost
over a hundred pounds in just over a year. I kept that weight off and
THEN (the lament of so many women) I got pregnant. My older son is four
(about to turn five). I've long since forgotten the exchange system.
I've tried the point system and just can't seem to get into it. I just
joined a gym and really want to lose this weight. If anyone has any
information about the old program I would really appreciate it! I
remember it's two break and one fat per day but the rest is a blur.
Thanks for the help!

I joined in 1973 but I can't remember the exchanges.  All I can say is
that the newest program has really evolved into something truly workable
for everyone and that you should try to work with it. WW has physicians
study the program all the time and the changes often result from the
newest scientific studies.  Do you go to meetings?  Try just a few and
ask the leader for help.
