I went to my local Tesco (grocery store) and they were having a '20% off all
clothing' promotion. I needed some more jeans (one pair that barely fitted
just wasn't enough) and decided to treat myself. I tried on a couple of
pairs and the size 18s (US size 16) were too big! I was wearing a size 18
when I met DH almost 14 years ago and by ten months ago I was wearing a size
30 (US 28).
I am now sitting here wearing size 16 (US size 14) jeans and while they are
a tiny bit tight I can do them up, sit down and still breathe, LOL.
I cannot believe that in ten months I have dropped seven sizes in jeans! It
feels soooooooo good.

Thanks Elaine,
I keep thinking they must have got the sizes wrong on the jeans, I find it
hard to believe that I could possibly fit into a size 16 pair of jeans!

Hehehe. I have that same problem. I am not sure what size I was before I
started losing weight (I was a 14 prepregnancy, then I was pregnant and
then immediately postpartum still in my maternity clothes because my
regular clothes didn't fit...I had one pair of size 16 jeans that fit ok
so maybe I was a US 16), but I am now a size 6. I have been a size six
since May or so, so I have been shopping through several seasons already.
I ALWAYS take a six, eight, and ten into the dressing room with me. The
eights and tens are always too big and I am always SHOCKED to realize
that! Actually there is one GAP skirt I have that is a size 4 even, but
that's just getting absurd IMO. I am not really a 4.
My biggest problem is that now that I am a six, everything is too short!!!
I need the length in the larger sizes. You just can't win for losing.

Thanks Amberle3,
I can't describe how fantastic it feels, I forgot to say in my previous
message but the jeans only cost me ?3.20 a pair too! Tesco's basics jeans
are normally ?4 a pair so with the 20% discount I got two pairs for just
?6.40!
