I lost 2.6 pounds.  Not the colossal 5-6 I've gotten the first couple
of weeks, but my son's birthday party was last Saturday and I had a few
pieces of pizza and a slice of sinfully good chocolate cake.  It was
worth it.  I still lost.  And only did a minimum of fitness.

Awesome loss Joe!! So much for those nerves, eh?

I gained this WI - but I had a big-time "vay-cay" from counting points
over a two week period - so hence the gain. DARN VALENTINES DAY AND ALL
OF ITS CHOCOLATE GOODIES!!! =)

The funny thing is, I avoided chocolate for as long as I could, and
ended up eating sweet tart hearts instead - by the handful. =( Once I
realized what I was doing - I just panicked and ate anything I felt
like for the next two weeks. Smart, huh?

HOWEVER - I am back on track this week - and will be honest with my
points - no excuses! Hopefully I'll lose that 4 as fast as I put it
on......RIGHT!!! Darn German/Italian DNA. I inherited the super slow
metabolism coupled with the big-time appetite.

I've noticed that people are posting numbers with their names - are
these weights, goals, etc?

If so - here is my stuff - current: 188lb   goal: 145lb  lost: 0

I am German and Cherokee, so extremely efficient metabolism, and love rich
fatty food,  you were honest with yourself so take a NSV for that, and
another for getting back on track this week, Lee

That's a great loss Joe, congrats!  Unfortunately, those 5-6 pound per
week drops will not last forever.  The first few weeks it seems we
lose quicker as we shed some of that excess fluid the system loves to
hang onto.  After that WW suggests losing at a healthy rate of 1-2
pounds per week.  I found that rate was perfect for me, the slower it
comes off the more time I had for those healthier eating practices to
become my new habit.

Congratulations on the great loss Joe!  The losses do tend to
be smaller after the first few weeks and once in awhile you may
get a nice whoosh that comes as a real surprise!

Just think how much you could have lost if you had vowed to stay away from
pizza and cake!  That's WW for you - keep longing for those treats that
caused your weight problem in the first place.

Dammit George you're about 2 seconds away from seeing the back hand of
my killfile.  You and your propoganda can just stay away from my posts
you.

congratulations Joe. You are doing better than me. We are both on week 3 and
my stats are
week one down 3 lbs
week two up half a pound (valentines choc etc)
week three didn't weigh in
a) because I knew I wouldn't like what I saw
b) because I have a really nasty virus and it was raining and I didn't want
to leave the house

OK officially back on track.
Keep going inspiring me
Louise
