What do you do for fitness that isn't done at the gym ?

There's walking and running and biking, and?

I'm not talking day to day chore, but when you set out to burn calories,
what do you do?

I'm looking for inspiration.. and sunlight!

Golf, yoga (home practice), canoeing/kayaking, or hiking through the woods.
Yesterday we fished with the row boat and didn't bring the motor along.

Today I did a DVD called strength express. Ow !
Yesterday I did a step aerobics DVD
The day before I jogged 3 miles with the dog
(my bicycle has a flat tire)
The day before that I moved a bunch of things that I am going to garage sale and then mopped all the tile floors.
Tomorrow I plan to walk/jog again.
Hopefully I will have had time to fix the tire by then, and I will bike.
I plan on swimming at a friend's house soon.

I challenge myself walking when I walk alone to see how fast I can go on
the same route I talk when I walk with my friend.  I try to do things
like gardening and housework quickly.  I also do yoga.
I have never been a gym person, absolutely hate it, but find I can just
increase my activity by speeding up the way I do everyday activities.

That is a great idea, to aim to go faster on your walk route. I try
that, but sometimes wonder  if I would do better with a treadmill
because it forces you to keep pace consistently.

As far as non-gym activities (as I am a bit of a gym phobe of late),
I'm working out with a personalized workout DVD called Push that I
really like- great value for $25 a month (three workouts included- two
toning, one cardio).
