I can't tell you about WW on line, but I'm a subscriber of e-tools. I track
my food, my weight, access recipes, calculate points, build recipes, etc.
Personally, I find it a helpful for me.

While its still in the beginning stages of life, check out my new
website www.foodsdatabase.com. I'm specifically looking for people to
casually use the database and food tracker and provide feedback on
whats good, whats bad, etc.
It's free, so no worries there. Hopefully it is what you are looking
for.

I do WW online. I like it because it is more convenient than going to
meetings. Meetings here are on Wednesday evenings at 6:00, which really
doesn't work for me as I have a 5 year old to pick up from daycare at 5:30,
then feed and the meeting is 1/2 an hour drive from my home. I just
couldn't make it in time. Maybe when DS is older I will try meetings.
the online package includes things like the Points Tracker, Points
Calculators, Weight Tracker, Recipe Builder, you can save your favorite
recipes to My Recipes, there are message boards (I don't use them as I
prefer to post here). It also includes information on both Flex and Core
and allows you to switch between the two if you like.
There are sections that include Recipe Renovations, Food Guides, Food Ideas,
Food Q&A, Restaurant Food Guides, information and ideas on fitness and
success stories of other members and user guides for both Flex and Core.
There is an online store, but there is only one book "Family Power" for
sale. The only other thing there is available for purchase is a
subscription to WW magazine. I've never really seen much more for sale and
have never made a purchase myself. I'm sure that the meetings will offer
more.
Good points about WW Online - it's very convenient for me at this time. Bad
points - you're really "on your own". If you do decide to go with the
online program, make sure you post here regulary for support. Support is
something we all need and it really does make a difference to how you stick
to the program. I think that if I were able to go to meetings I would be
more likely to stick to the program completely, but for now I will continue
with the online program and post here as often as I can.
You could always try it for a few months, then cancel if you're not happy
with it.
Good luck and post here often, whether you do WW Online or decide to go to
meetings. Look forward to hearing more from you.

what is great about your post is the rl component, you are doing what you
can given your circumstances, and you see that this could change later, that
is just such a major NSV, btw, I go to meetings, have etools and post here,
I need all the help I can get, Lee

I've also had scheduling problems with the meeting in my area so I do
everything online, including the eTools.

The meetings offer a lot of resources and WW food. I went to meetings for
the first few months before I went on my own (so to speak). I use the tools
and resources from those meetings to continue on.

Between this group and a a local online group I get a lot of the support I
need that I would normally get from a meeting. It's really how I've been
able to use the flexibility of WW to suit my personal needs. Just another
reason why this is a terrific plan for a lifetime of success.

I am not sure of the differences but I use etools, I do know I get that
because I am a meeting member and it is cheaper, but I don't get the
materials on line that I get in the meeting and I think Joyce said they take
you through the first 12 weeks if you are only an on line member... I love
the data base, both for flex and core, I like the articles and recipes. the
German chocolate cake is killer good for five points. the weight chart
keeps me honest. I do not like the way the flex journal records things the
order is weird to me, but I think this might be a vision thing, I have found
it very worth while for the articles alone when I am struggling instead of
eating I read an article. Lee
