I find this quite strange, and i hope you guys can help explain why
this is happening.  And if it's normal!

When i'm working at the office, i'm basically sitting down all day.
And i'm usually always kind of hungry... sometimes very hungry.

But on my days off, like Saturday, i often find myself NEVER hungry.  A
typical day will include 1 hour vigerous bike riding, mowing grass for
an hour, and doing things with the kids.  I barely find the time to sit
and relax.  Last Saturday i forgot to eat my morning and afternoon
snack.  My daily calories i think were far too low, PLUS i did all the
physical activity.  But i wasn't hungry at all!  (at dinner and later i
did load up on lots of food because i knew my body should eat alot
more... not because i was hungry!)

I'm always hungry when i'm inactive all day.  Is anyone else the same?
Can someone explain why this is happening?

Thanks!
John

Boredom and habit!  While you are out being active you are too busy to
think about food, but at work there isn't nought to keep you occupied!
If I have to spend time here, I get 'hungry', but if I'm out and about
or sewing madly, I don't feel hungry until meal times.

you're probably bored at work.....I get the same way......when I'm busy - no
food, when I'm not busy - I'm constantly munching!

You might also want to check your water intake - are you drinking more on
your busy Saturdays than you when you are work?

Boredom, frustration, availability, you name it.  Working at my computer is
the kiss of death for me. I got a schedule change at work that's going to
limit my time at my desk.  That should help.

When I have no choice (like now when I'm working on a ton of stuff at the
desk) I rely on carrots and other veggie slices to get through the day.

Thanks for all your input!  I think boredom at work probably has alot
to do with it, now that i think about it.

Last night, home from work, i was still hungry at 9:30 pm.  The kids
were put down to bed, so i finally got time to do a 30 minute weight
workout.  After the workout i wasn't very hungry anymore.

Do you think for some people being active can be an appetite
supressant?  Could that have something to do with it?

you are distracted by the physical activity which is more interesting than
food, I think food might be more interesting than your work for you on some
level, Lee

There's also the fact that when I work out, I over do it almost everytime,
almost to the point of throwing up... so my stomac feels awfull for half the
day..
