Do those of you who have tried both plans find they lose slower or Core? Do
you track your calories or just go with the flow? I don't even know how many
calories a day i am supposed to eat in general.

And the pasta y fagiole came out great. The pasta was very good in taste and
texture but I just read the box and it's a "whole wheat blend" so it was
whole wheat & semolina, Ronzoni Healthy Harvest. I used the Rotini, they
didn't have whole wheat ditalini.

I sauteed about a handful each of  chopped onion, celery and carrots in
olive oil cooking spray then added can of rinsed cannelini beans. 2 cans of
low sodium/99% fat free chicken broth (make it veggie if you don't eat meat
of course!!) and then a half a can of tomato paste, boil - add almost cooked
pasta. then i let that sit a bit covered so it kind of gets  absorbed into
the pasta.

i ate a medium sized bowl and was satisfied. now i probably had a lousy
first day because of the pasta blend but it's better than eating a pint of
hagaan daaz for dinner!!

after dinner we played freeze tag in the yard with the kids and   i got a
good workout running around.

I mostly pay attention to portion size when on Core.  I measure my portions
but I don't count calories or points unless it's a non-Core thing. I limit
myself to no more than 5 points a day unless I have some kind of special
occasion planned that would require more and I don't use the AP's.  That
helps keep the loss steady.  My biggest problem with core is that I like
things like avocado and if I didn't measure it I'd eat a whole one without
thinking twice about it.

how do you know what your portions should be? the "serving size"? I had a
half an avocado with lunch today. Is the "how much food should i be
consuming" thing covered in the meetings? I ate 3 hardboiled eggs, half an
avocado and a banana for lunch.

Well the understanding is that you eat until satisfied.  Personally I'm
never satisfied so I have to portion stuff out.  A proper portion of avocado
is like 1/8 or maybe 1/4.  I usually eat 1/4.  I guess when I say I portion
stuff out, I have a preset amount I'll eat of something - 4 oz meat, 1/2 c
rice or pasta, etc.  I don't portion out fruit or vegetables because as
mentioned in a different thread, it wasn't eating grapes that got me here.

that sounds like a wonderful dinner, and as long as you are making progress
that is what counts.  I lose best when I do flex and eat core foods, I think
I like bread too much, Lee
