I mostly pay attention to portion size when on Core. I measure my portions
but I don't count calories or points unless it's a non-Core thing. I limit
myself to no more than 5 points a day unless I have some kind of special
occasion planned that would require more and I don't use the AP's. That
helps keep the loss steady. My biggest problem with core is that I like
things like avocado and if I didn't measure it I'd eat a whole one without
thinking twice about it.

Sounds yummy.

how do you know what your portions should be? the "serving size"? I had a
half an avocado with lunch today. Is the "how much food should i be
consuming" thing covered in the meetings? I ate 3 hardboiled eggs, half an
avocado and a banana for lunch.

Well the understanding is that you eat until satisfied. Personally I'm
never satisfied so I have to portion stuff out. A proper portion of avocado
is like 1/8 or maybe 1/4. I usually eat 1/4. I guess when I say I portion
stuff out, I have a preset amount I'll eat of something - 4 oz meat, 1/2 c
rice or pasta, etc. I don't portion out fruit or vegetables because as
mentioned in a different thread, it wasn't eating grapes that got me here.

that sounds like a wonderful dinner, and as long as you are making progress
that is what counts. I lose best when I do flex and eat core foods, I think
I like bread too much, Lee
