Hey all,
advice needed.   Been on WW since May, had a rough summer with all the
cookouts/parties. Basically stayed the same.   Been back full force this
past week.  Have eaten all my points each day (24), and have used maybe 5
flex points total. Have done the treadmill every night, at least 20 minutes.
Weighed in tonight and was only down .2.  A big disappointment.  The only
thing I didn't do "per ww" is have my 3 milks a day.  Will this adversly
effect weight loss?

Give it another week.  I don't think not having all the milk will be a
problem. Just be patient.

depending on your system it could, also give yourself a couple of weeks to
get used to the good food again, and are you drinking your water, glad you
are back on track, and remember a small loss is the beginning of the right
direction, NOT the end of the world, Lee

I don't believe that skipping the milk is going to be a significant impact
on your weight loss, but in the scheme of things, how much have you lost
overall?  I don't know of any healthy diet that will consistently give big
losses each week.  When I'm following the plan exactly by the numbers I tend
to lose about .5 per week unless I'm doing lots of very intense workouts in
a given week.

There are a lot of things to take into account so unless this is a
persistent thing that lasts a month I wouldn't get too worked up about it.
The thing about the healthy checks is that they are there to help you
replace junk with healthier choices.  By the time you eat everything you
need for the health checks you don't have tons of points left for not so
good stuff.

When I was doing my 800 cal/day diet there were weeks where I lost nothing.
Imagine how frustrating that was!!  It's just the way our bodies work.  Push
on through this - keep doing what's been working for you so far.  You'll see
results in the long run.

Hi Misty, nice to meet you.

You should try to follow the 8 healthy guidelines every day, yes, that also
includes 3 milk servings.
In my opinion, you should also eat ALL of your FLEX points! especially
considering that you are only on 24 per day.
Being only on 24 per day sounds like you don't really have that much to
lose?  So your loss per week will be much lower than someone like me who has
a lot to lose.  The WW program is only designed to help you lose 1 to 2 lbs
per week and eating all of your points will not put your body into
starvation mode.  Exercising may also cause you to retain water if you
aren't drinking enough water each day.  Are you tracking your food intake
properly and checking the little boxes at the bottom of each page?

Hang in there.  If you've only lost a little this wee, I 'm sure next week
will be much better, but please try to concentrate on eating your full
points allowance and getting the 8 healthy guidelines in each day......I'm
sure you will see greater success at next WI.

By the way........losing 0.2 should not be a disappointment.......you could
have had a gain instead!  Be happy and be proud of what you're doing.  Stick
with it and don't get discouraged.  Try to dwell on your healthy eating and
exercise habits......Doesn't it feel great to be in control ?  Isn't that
more important than seeing a huge loss at the scale?

Thanks all for your help!  Yes, I do drink all my water, most times more. I
try to write down everything that goes into my mouth!   So far I've lost
13.4 pounds, started at 200.8, now 187.4, goal is 155, so I do have a ways
to go!  I guess I'll be thankful for the little victories.  Thanks again!

Your situation is similar to my 16 year old daughter's.  She weighed 210 and
has lost 52 lbs so far doing WW with me.  I'm so happy that you've lost 134
lbs so far!! That's a great accomplishment!!! Give yourself a nice pat on
the back Misty!

Next time you go to the grocery store, try carrying around a 10 lbs bag of
potatoes......then you'll realize how well you are doing!

Stick with it! you have a great attitude! Stay positive and take the small
losses.........every little bit helps!
