Hi all!
I do believe this marks the longest period of time I've ever stuck to an
weight loss plan. Not that I've been perfect... This week at weigh in I
saw a 0.6 lb gain. My first gain. I'm not all that upset about it, though.
My body fat measuring scale at home consistently shows my body fat down 2.5%
since I started, so I'm thinking maybe it was water weight. I did have a
lot of diet soda before I weighed in. I am following Eddie's advice to eat
all of my Flex points each day. It's exercising *regularly* that I need to
work on. I know I feel better when I do it; it's just getting started
that's so hard. And with the new television season going on--there are so
many distractions. I even have a little reward system but that doesn't
always help. I guess I just have to decide what I really want--a better
body or a little distraction. Or maybe I should get a second television and
VCR so that I can tape interesting shows while I exercise. (I work out with
videos.) Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Have a great week everybody!

first suggestion is keep the positive attitude you have. I might get a DVR
and record the stuff I liked and only reward myself with a program after
doing exercise, Lee

If you exercise in the evening try to do it before prime time. I always
exercise first thing in the morning. Then no matter what the rest of
the day is like I know it's done.

Good to hear you're eating all of your points Patty.....you will be happy
that you did later on down the road. I enjoy watching TV also, but I've
learned that if I can't get to gym between 3:30 and 5:30, then my only
choice is to go after supper around 7:00 and miss my shows. It's a toss up,
but because I've decided to make my health a priority in my life, TV loses
out to the gym......
Hang in there! You can do this Patty.....just stick with it....one day at a
time......one meal at a time.

Thanks for all the support everyone! I like the suggestion of getting my
exercise in before prime time TV. Then I can endulge with TV as my reward.
The extra TV and VCR thing doesn't really fit my budget right now. I've
looked at my schedule and all the things I have to do, and there is
absolutely no reason why I can't change to exercising before supper. I just
have to develop the new habit. Unfortunately that's easier said than done.
