Day 3

We worked out today, as planned, did cardio. I sucked at it today, but 3rd
day in a row and it's the first week back so I'm not worried. We did upper
body weights, and lower body weights, one set of each exercise. I upped my
weights a little since we were doing only one set.

Yesterday I did awesome with the food AND it was  extremely yummy.

I made Trader Joes shrimp stir fry with oil (3 pts and 1 oil serving) for
lunch, it's a favorite of mine.

For dinner I was out of inspiration, so I just marinated 2 small filet of
Mahi Mahi in lime juice and garlic, then peppered it thoroughly (however
that's spelled) and pan seared it. Served it with a salad of lettuce,
chopped tomatoes, cucumber and fresh basil. It turned out VERY tasty, and
filling.

Snack wise I did ok, I'm trying very hard to push the fruits, and it seems
to work. Popcorn and 2 pts bars also saved me.

This morning I briefly cooked chopped tomatoes with basil, put it aside,
dumped 3 egg whites in a pan, and when it was almost set dumped the
tomato-basil on top. I let it finish setting, turned it for a little just so
it completely set "Et voila!" an eggwhite pie! Nothing beats fresh basil!

So, 3 days into it, I'm doing good. After the insanity of the last weeks, I
feel like me again. I'm straight at goal, I want to lose 15 lbs.. we'll
see.. maybe 10 would be enough.. DH told me "No more than 10" pfft what does
he know! ;op

Hi, Will, Air popped or the 1 serving microwave popcorn is one of my
favorite
snacks.  Very satisfying for 1 point.  If  I am really hungry, I have fat
free yogurt
with Fiber one and two glasses of water for an afternoon snack.
Hugs,
Catherine

I don't eat fiber ones anymore, but I I do the popcorn, the water, and as I
said I'm working the fruits in more and more...

I'm in California EVERYTHING is accessible.. might as well enjoy it!

Willow,

I've got to tell you that you have inspired me to begin working out myself.
I've been eating right but not losing a whole lot of weight.  Yesterday, I
joined a gym and after orientation, I was given a set of machines to use and
worked out.  I also worked out this morning on the treadmill and bike.

I'm hoping to workout every day.  I'm doing this alone but have already met
alot of neat people who are going to be a great help for motivation!

Thanks again!!!!!!!

Just remember two things:

Take a day off per week... in which you do no more than light cardio (give
your body a break!)
If you do resistance training, do not work the same muscles 2 days in a
row..

Other than that GO FOR IT! the rewards are far beyond the realm of weight
loss!

Thanks for the info!!!  My thought was that I would do the cardio every time
I go and the resistance machines 3 days a week.  I went this morning for
water aerobics but the pool was closed because of lightning.   That's why I
did the treadmill for 20 mins and the bike for 12.

I'm hoping to visit the gym during the week and not on the weekends.  I'm
busy doing other stuff on the weekends!!

I already *feel* different.  I've got 30+ pounds to lose and I'm motivated!

all of this good, what he knows is what he likes, which directly affects
what YOU like, mind his opinion here, Lee
