Hi all.  I've been reading for some time now, and wanted to thank everyone
for their help.  Reading these posts really is an inspiration for me.

I'm going to Disney for the food & wine festival.  It will be tough to stay
o.p., but hopefully with the extra points and all of the walking, it won't
be too bad.

The real reason for the post, is to see if anyone has advice as to what
rides a very large man should stay away from as to not have to deal with
"the walk of shame" if there is a ride that I can't fit on.  I've heard that
Disney is actually fairly ride friendly in this respect, but I'm still
nervous.

Anyway, thanks again for all of your inspiration.

Hi Matt,

It's a difficult call because I really don't know how big OR TALL you are?

I know Disney like the back of my hand and most rides are indeed friendly to
bigger people.  The ones that you will have trouble with depending how bug
your are, might be as follows...........
(please remember that I am only 5'-5 and weighed 359 lbs, but I could still
fit in all of these)
Some of the seatbelts might be difficult to do up, but I think you'll still
manage.
On some rides, you may have to turn sideways to enter them, but then you
will be alright

Magic Kingdom
----------------
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Thunderrun

Epcot
------
Mission Space - very tight!

MGM Studios
---------------
Star Tours

Animal Kingdom
-----------------
Everest

My suggestion, is to try all the rides.  I really don't think there are many
thank you won't fit into unless you are very, very, very large.

If you have trouble walking, you may want to consider renting an ECV - you
can then enter the rides from the handicap entrance and if there is a
problem, you won't be embarrassed.

Disney is a great place to visit - I'm sure you will enjoy yourself very
much.

Thanks for the help.  I'm about 5'10" and down to about 350, so hopefully my
experience will be close to that of yours.  Thanks again.

Welcome...I'm 5'8 and was 335...I know how you feel about the rides etc...No
one understands just how bad these types of things make me feel...I found
that humor was the best way to deal with these things but tended to avoid
finding out if I even fit for fear of making a scene...I use to fly quite a
bit and asking for a seatbelt extender was very humiliating...Eddie is so
right to give it all a go...Stick with this and you will be surprised just
how simple it is...That said what makes this work is you...Learning to read
your own body better...To know real hunger from routine eating...To know
when you are full and to remember your human and therefore may revert  from
time to time to your old habits...But the next day you begin again and in
time your close to goal...I started December 21st 2005...At that time I was
291...This week I was 207.3...Good luck...GG
