Hi all. I'm posting from a new computer I built this week so my sig and all
that is awol for now. I followed FLEX (but using some things I learned on
CORE) this 1st full week back on plan after my dillylallying around for 6
mos. I had lost about 26 pounds in 2 1/2 mos and then due to my DH's
accident and stress and depression went way astray. I thought the damage was
about 5 pounds but it was closer to 9.5 when I WI last Sat. I lost 3.6 this
week which is great. By mid-Nov I want to be back down to my lowest (179.6
or 179.4 I have to look it up) and then get going on the last 30 pounds
which I had hoped to have lost by now. All in all pretty positive...meds
definitely helping although they make me a little nauseas and dizzy but
that's subsiding.

I am so happy to hear that you are back on plan again. That 3.6 loss is
an awesome start for you. Keep posting!

Stress and depression can make one's life a mess. I've been there and still
experience many days where I think I just can't cope. It sounds like you
are doing much better since starting your meds. I wish you lots of luck on
your journey to wellness and your goal weight! Keep posting!

It most certainly can, funny though as long as I am attending meetings
I am able to stay focused and I am not nearly so stressed and my
attitude is much, much better.

I am hoping to get in a better state of mind once I can feel up to
exercising again. That always lifts my mood but when I was so down, it's so
hard to start.

Me too. I have been having such trouble with my foot lately that I haven't
been able to get much exercise. I really enjoy walking, but with this pain
I can't do that. I'd like to also join a gym, but until I see my doctor
next week about my x-ray results and he suggests something to relieve my
pain I won't be doing either.

Can you do water-based exercises?

Yes I could but for the time being I would have to drive about 40 minutes
each way to get to a swimming pool. Our brand new aquatic centre that will
be 10 minutes from our home is due to open next summer/fall, then I will be
sure to join water aerobics.

I used to go to water aerobics years ago - before my son was born and loved
it. It was a hard class but I felt great afterward, so am looking forward
to our new pool - can't wait until it's finished!

That's interesting actually. I haven't attended any meetings here, they are
at a really awkward time for me. Maybe when DS is a bit older I will be
able to try meetings.

Thanks Lee. I managed 30 min on the exercise bike tonight :-) That's the
first time I've exercised beyond walking for quite some time.
