I just had lunch with my kids and DH at a Vietnamese Restaurant today
(Pho Hoa chain). I have NO idea how many points my lunch is! I ordered
the healthiest looking thing on the menu: grilled chicken, vermicelli
(sp?), and lots of raw veggies (sprouts, cucumber, lettuce, cilantro). I
made sure to leave some and not stuff myself silly. What do I do about
counting points? Next time I'll make sure to go to a restaurant that I
know I can find point values for.

Raw veggies without sauce are mostly 0 pts...

Vermicelli, I have no clues, might be a few pts cause there's oil in that
and maybe some coconut milk... somebody here might know.. I don't eat that
stuff..

Grilled chicken in vietnamese places should be fairly low.. a little oil and
stuff.. I would add about 1 pts per 3 oz... for the "stuff"

Key is.. make an educated guess, and keep good the rest of the week!

I'll be eating a lot of veggies for dinner tonight! My breakfast was
only 3.5 points and I am going to the gym for an hour tonight. At least
I didn't go somewhere and order a greasy burger and french fries :o)

Even if you had, it wouldn't be the end of the world.. :o)

This is a lifestyle change... we all step back (sometimes stumble back) from
time to time !! ;op

look up the grilled chicken guess and write it down, noodles are 4 points
per cup for most of them, I always add 2 for unknown sauces and the raw
vegetables as zero Lee, lover of anything Asian

What I do in those cases is I make my best legimate educated guess,
usually based off of a similar item.  Do a search online for vermicelli
too.  Google's bound to have somebody somewhere that has posted
calories, fat and fibre.  Then add one point just for good measure
(becauseit was at a restaurant).  That's what I do anyway.

Of course you could take a stroll through a grocery store and figure
out the points.  Judging from their menu it doesn't look like you did
too much/if any damage.

If it's any consolation, it sure looks to me like you did the best you
could in the situation.  Certainly much better than I would have done.
