what are some good alcoholic beverages to consume while trying to take of weight?
Looking for some low cal drinks for the New Year's Eve party that I'll be attending... and I want to be able to
get a little bit tipsy...  without putting on a thousand pounds...

Thanks for the input!

Drink sparkling water with lemon or lime for 0 points.  A wine cooler can be good.  The more diet soda or sparkling water you add, the more you get.  The allow yourself a glass of champagne at midnight.  Mixed drinks are generally the worst for adding useless calories.

It's the alcohol which has the calories...The higher the alcohol...The higher the calories...If your looking for the buzz and can handle it...Go on a moderately empty stomach...Not empty...But eat light before the party...You'll get the buzz...Of course the real challenge comes in not eating like a vacuum once the buzz lowers your ability to have control...Life just isn't fair...On the other hand,...A joint before the party would be calorie free if you can fight the munchies...GG

I disagree about the alcohol being where the points are I think its in the mixer you put it in, stick with club soda or water or straight, Lee

As I said...If you can control the munchies...And the alcohol in most drinks is the calories...Gin and tonic...Vodka and diet 7up not really low calorie as some believe...There are certainly high calorie mixers but the issue was the buzz and low calorie...The more alcohol by % the more the calories...GG

My take is that if the goal is the buzz, why waste time with mixers?
