Hi everyone, I'm totally new to newsgroups, so please excuse me.
I'm wanting to lose quiet a bit of weight (aprox. 50kg) and am looking for a
good support group.
I have done weight watchers a few times now, but each time I lose a bit, I
gain it back... plus some.
I am almost too scared to try again for fear of gaining even more.
I have no choice though, and have to just "do it" before it kills me.
Any other aussies out there?
I look forward to meeting you all,
Mary

Thanks for the welcome, I am looking forward to starting again! I have just
been reading through some old messages, and am making chicken with tarragon
& saffron for tea tonight :)
Did anyone else try that one? It sounds quick, easy and yummy.
I am thinking I might switch my scales over to pounds, so I can communicate
on this board easier, and the new "number range" (pounds) might be enough to
trick me into thinking it's a fresh start seeing I'll be focusing on
different numbers...it's worth a try..lol

I never thought of that but switching might be a good idea.  anything
Audrey, willow or Kate post in the way of a recipe is in the excellent to
superb category, post often this is a great group that loves to help and be
inspired by progress, Lee

not bad, you now know what you are dealing with and that means you are being
real with yourself, I started at 251.6 and am now 170.6, My lowest was 151.2
and I realize after the adding of the 2 points that my biggest problem was
probably starvation mode... now this week it can only be termed gluttony if
I gain, and travel, and not enough water.... Lee

I really enjoy core but I do need the structure of flex, I think once I get
to goal I can do core while traveling for ease and do flex at home and it
will be the best of both worlds, but for now I will have to do flex to lose,

Tsk tsk tsk... look at it this way: Your start weight is the number you get
to brag about when you get to goal. "Hey, I used to weigh XXX and look at me
now!!"

So there! the higher the better !

Seriously, it can seem daunting at first, look at it in small amount, mini
goals, every 5 lbs I bought myself a cookbook! Worked for me... find what
will motivated you!

Gday Mary, I'm from Perth.

I lost 33kg with WW, I have been at goal for 5 months now. Remember that
weight loss is good, but a healthy lifestyle and habits are better :)

Good luck!
