In december I was told that I would have to restart my credential
application from 0 again... I was DEVASTATED... The lady I talked to wanted
to cancel my application (cause it was SURE to be refused) and to start
again.. and in a moment of frustration about being given wrong information
OVER and OVER again.. I said "I'll let them turn me down.. and then go from
there..." that way I would know exactly WHY they turned me down and would
get straight answers FINALY...

Yesterday I got an email from the credentialling wah wah wah in
Sacramento... I have been issued a teaching credential!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to bne
renewed in 5 years...

I am a TEACHER!

I'm torn between being extreemely pissed that I was fed wrong infos again
(which totally ruined my holidays) and elated that FINALY I got my
credentials after struggeling for 4 years and more!!!

be happy you got it and make sure if you ever mentor other young interns
that you make them aware they might get wrong information, Lee, pleased for

Get past the anger and start the celebrations! Too many people are fed
the wrong information. Look at districts where you would like to
substitute and get on their lists.  Two friends have just begun subbing
this semester just two days a week.  Start slowly so you get a feel for
the schools, administrators and available jobs.

Congratulations, Willow!!!  I am so glad you decided to go ahead and apply
instead of listening to whoever told you that you had to start over.  I'm
sure that is a great weight off your shoulders.  Are you starting to fill
out job apps for next year yet? <grin>

I'm late with this but CONGRATULATIONS!  I know this meant a great deal
to you.  As a teacher in remission, I think you're mad, but that's a
whole nother story!  ;)
