I thought since I'm not tracking well enough on the flex plan and I"m
getting a wackload of fruts and veggies this week, I thought I"d try out the
core plan and make a bunch of meals, soups etc...

I don't have many recipes for this, but I was wondering if anyone would like
to post some of their recipes??  I really enjoy spicy foods as the spices
seem to make me less hungry, and really, how many points in curry powder???

also I was wanting to make some samosas, and was wondering if anyone could
figure out the points for the dough?

it is : one cup of flour, 4tablespoons of oil, *I use extra virgin olive
oil*, smidgen of salt, and then water... it makes about 20 wrappings... when
done right... I figured all of the ingredients for it is core plan, chick
peas, veggies, either lean chicken or beef, and you can bake them, or figure
out the points for frying them with pam in a frypan... *no deep frying for
me on this diet*... but two of those with the core soup would make a good
fullfilling meal...

I'm just having a hard time figureing out how to find out the points value
of various recipes... as I like to make things from scratch a lot... I make
crepes with chopped up apples, and you can make warm jelly from cooking up
strawberries with a bit of splenda, then use dream whip or nutriwhip...
whipped cream... can't remember which one is only one or two points...

anyhow, I'll let you know how the core plan works for me ... *G*...

*I figured I need this as I had kfc twice last week... sigh...*

any recipe can be worked out by making a list of the ingredients.  for each
ingredient, figure the calories, fat and fiber.  write them all down.
divide by the number of servings and then figure that points... so you have
the individual portion points rather than the entire recipe... write that on
your recipe card if you reuse that one it is already done after the first
time...good luck on on core... Lee
