Lost 1.8 for 4.6 total!!

It's funny how weight loss is. Last week I exercised and tracked and
was perfect and gained .6. This week was birthday week and several bad
food incidents (though I tracked them all regardless!!!). Not as much
exercise as I would have liked...and I lose. Funny it is!

It's also funny looking back to my first time on WW. I lost weight
meteorically the first time around. By week 4 I was at about almost 15
pounds lost...but I had so much to lose then and so much lifestyle to
change. Not so now, since even when I was off program I didn't stray
too too much...and mostly follwed the lifestyle. Now I am just much
more strict and true to the program. I must admit I miss those old
days some!!!! But there is one difference...I am determined to get to
goal this time....doesn't matter how much I lost the first time
around...I didn't make it and I left WW.

Not doing that this time!

Have a great week all!

Great job. Sometimes there is a week delay on weight loss showing up on the
scale.

I think you are doing great. I remember how quickly you were losing the
first time around and wondering if you were going to be able to maintain it.
Sometimes we just have to lose slowly in order to insure the lifestyle
changes will be made. I think you have it this time. Great accomplishment.

Great! It sounded like you felt bad for the .6 gain. Remember, when
exercising, you will build muscle. I am not talking about bodybuilder
muscle, but effective muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. If you keep
losing weight and not gain muscle, you will start to eat away your
lean body mass which in turn slows your metabolism. This is sometimes
the reason for those hard-to-beat plateaus. Just keep in mind, it's a
balancing act between burning fat and gaining effective lean mass.
Good job again!
