Well, it looks like next weekend I'll be driving 800 miles with my kids to
visit my family in Oregon!  How to survive this in WW mode?  100 calorie
snack bags?  Carrots?  Celery?  16 pretzels is 2 pts... most of the snack
bags are 2 pts... and I'm going to be in the car all - day - long!

Any tips you have would be so wonderful!

pack a cooler, either take the stuff to stop and picnic or flat out pack
your meals and snacks and label them, I go virtually nowhere with out the
magic snack box, do the best you can and don't stress out, have a nice trip,

Pack easy to eat quick meals, snacks, water and there you go!
I like to carry grains and vegetables and grilled meat as meals.. I stop and
eat and then get back on my merry way!

You'll need icy cold water and some high fiber snacks and protein to
give you energy. Measure your food ahead of time so it is prepackaged
such as turkey in snack bags in the ice chest with 1-2 point pieces of
cheese, high fiber bars etc.  The more you pack, the easier it will be.

also consider doing core while traveling, it worked very nice on a week long
trip we went on last year, Lee

another thing I do is look for precut lunch meats you can point out but not
have to weigh, there is a nice turkey in Wal-Mart that is 3 slices for 1 pt
and good enough the kids might eat it also, they have a ham that is 2 slices
for a point.  have a great trip, Lee
