I did WW years ago but no longer have the books, and cannot afford to pay
for meetings or their website.  I just bought the starter books on Ebay, but
while I wait for the books, can someone please tell me how many daily points
I should allow for myself?  I don't know what you need to know to determine
that for me, but here is some info.  I'm 5' 6", weight 265, 41 years old,
want to lose 100-110.  What point total should I follow?   I found a site
that I can use that tells points of food, so I want to start while I wait
for my starter books to arrive.  Thanks in advance if you can help me with
the points.

There's now a quiz you take to determine your points,

Basically

female 2
Age 2
weight 26 (first 2 digits of your weight
Height 1
How do you spend your day
 Sitting down 0
Occaisionally sitting but mainly standing 2
Walking most of the time  4
  Physically hard work  6

So for you, you get 31, plus whatever for how you spend your day.  Every 10
pounds, you lose a point off your target.

I only put in the values applicable to you, rather than copy out the whole
quiz.

Stormlady -- Can you tell me the target points for my husband:  Male,
5'9" age 50, weight 204, work: walks most of the time.  I belong to WW
Online but it only will tell MY target, no way to calculate for
someone else.  Thank so much!!

For the points - you can get the points calculation at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weight_Watchers (to calculate your own)
and you can get good food nutritional values free from the
http://www.CalorieKing.com database (more comprehensive than the WW
online database)

Tell them your inssurance is Kaiser, they'll waive the joining fee (never
check IDs)...

After that it's 12$ to get the material and explanations..
