I'll need to eat nowt but porridge, zero point soup, and zero point
veggie curry for the next few days!

I bin stuffed wid good foods...  None of it really off program (well
'cept for the derlISHUS cheeses!), but just rather too much of it!

oops!  And I was doing so well last week!  Ho hum: back to work on it as
from tomorrow!  Damage limitation and all that.

Kate, your posts are always hilarious.  Here's what I do to get back on
track:
breakfast...one egg, one piece of high fiber bread now with the egg on
top so I don't even need a spread, fruit ,tea
lunch...honey turkey or cottage cheese
I have the turkey in a sandwich with mustard and lettuce or a bit of
hummus.  I have 2/3 cup of nf cottage cheese with diced celery and dried
cranberries.
snacks...fruit, WW ice cream treats, tea or water
dinner...lean protein, salad and lots of vegetables,
ice tea

Of course there is always more but those are my fall back to basics.

Hi Audrey
I'm saving your menu for getting back on track.  I never thought of
the dried cranberries with cottage cheese.  It sounds good.
It's nice to have new ideas for getting back on track.  That's one of
the reasons I still go to weekly meetings.

Thanks for the good ideas!

Today's menu:

Breakfast was porridge: 50g of oats made up with a mug of water and a
pinch of salt, and served with a teaspoon of sugar and a little milk.
Total: 3.5 points!

Lunch: James has friends round today, so lunch will be pasta with a home
made tomato sauce and grated cheese for those who want it.  I am working
out the points now...  OK 5 points for my portion!

Dinner will be chicken, leek & potato soup and rolls, so another 6 points.

14.5 points for meals.  Not too bad, really!

I love cc with cranberries and nuts but the nuts are higher in calories
than good old celery.  Celery still gives me the crunch.

I tried this for lunch, but used slivered almonds instead of walnuts.
Then I sprinkled it with a new seasoning mix I found at Cost Plus-it
had ginger and cinnamon (more, but those are the two ingredients I
remember right now)  It was very tasty.  I followed it up with a salad
that had the new salad dressing spray and a tsp of olive oil.  It held
me all afternoon.

No-one was more surprised than me when after getting back from four days
away at a hotel, with eating out & attending a wedding, come weigh-in, I
found I'd lost 3.5lbs over two weeks. I wonder if it'll hit me this week
instead...

Does tend to come back and bite you in the bum if you aren't careful!

Last time I had an outing like that I swam in the hotel pool like a
demented fish, walked along the beach every day, and danced the night
away at the celebrations!  Result: net loss of half a pound over two
weeks.  The trouble is that one anomalous weekend can have unpredictable
results.
