Hi...
I rarely post here but I need to figure something out.
I eat sushi a lot. For lunch, I'll grab a quick order of tuna nori
maki. Every source, from the Weight Watchers book, to Dotties site,
to this forum, points nori maki at 1 point per two pieces. (0.5
points per piece). This is a dream come true for me...however. It is
always described as "raw fish and vegetables with rice wrapped in
seaweed." However, as most sushi eaters know, MOST places actually
serve raw fish and vegetables and rice wrapped in seaweed WRAPPED IN
RICE. I just find it hard to believe the points are as low in this
case, but can't find a source telling me otherwise. I know this
sounds very picky, but if you are eating an order of nori maki with 8
pieces, thinking you are eating 4 points, it becomes problematic. It
could be twice that, if not more. Am I the only one who ever wondered
abou this?

Even if the rice's on the outside of the rolls, there isn't that much of it.
Some sushi houses, really put a lot of rice on their rolls (they get that
big puffy look), I would add 1 pts for every 6-8 pieces for the extra rice..
