I totally agree. Moving the scale is very easy... but to learn a lifestyle
that teaches you to be healthy, and not white knuckle it all the time
(resulting in yo yo dieting) us the true victory.

this was quite a revelation to me, and has allowed me to be fine with
maintaining while I get the core concepts under control... I think in the
long run it is better for me to eat this way but is taking quite an effort,

How true...The idea that no single event has any bearing on your overall
being...To wake each day and just be aware of your choices...With each
passing day it gets easier and easier...GG

It also makes bouncing back a lot easier.. one slip isn't the end of the
world.. it's continuous slippage that will get you in troubles ;op

Sorry to chime in late, but this is a good topic. I have to remember that
something like having a gain 2 weeks in a row doesn't negate all the weeks
of losses.
It's about the big picture and how far we've come and where we need to be. I
amaze myself at how negative I can initially be at a small weekly gain and
forget all the pounds lost prior to that. It's silly, actually.
So, remember the BIG PICTURE!
Thanks for the reminder!

I am focusing on this this week as I seem to have really lost my focus on
everything else, missing 2 meetings in a row seems to be very bad for my
attitude, a learning experience all on its own, it seems that given this
last 2 weeks when I do get to goal I will need to attend meetings at least
every other week or it will be all over, Lee
