Urgent - need to buy treadmill - - diabetic
*********************************************
My doctor says I am a borderline diabetic.
I have to do at about 45 minutes of exercise every day.
Because I have a knee problem I cannot use an elliptical exercise
appliance
I am about 53 years old.

I have NO clue about treadmills.
Can anyone pls help me ?

What treadmill should I buy ?
What features should I look for ?
What horsepower ?
What brand ?
Will I need to get an electric one ?

I am probably not going to run...but probably walk very fast on it.

I think "Basic Display info" like ... time spent, amount of calories
lost etc.  is probably what I definitely need.

I would like to get one that is not too heavy and noisy.

Any help / pointers would be highly appreciated

Thanks,
Ayesha Hill

That's what I was going to say.. go to sport places, try a lot of different
ones.. ask for infos.. then go on something like Craigslist, or a used sport
store and get the good stuff for cheaper..

If you have a gym nearby you should join and see how that develops...Many
treadmills become very expensive plant or cloths holders...Myself I began
using a gym for 2 years...I decided that the gym was out of the way and I
now knew I would continue exercising so a treadmill became my
obsession....Good ones can be very expensive...I went nuts reviewing
them...Before actually purchasing one I started walking early in the morning
with my dogs and found it to be something I really looked forward
to...Calories burned walking is not that great but can certainly help in
many ways...You can find some interesting info from
http://www.treadmilladviser.com/ ...If you do end up purchasing try and find
user reviews on Amazon or sites like that...Good luck...GG
