Beating the New Years diet rush

I started out yesterday doing flex points.  Yesterdays weight was
240#.  My normal weigh- in day will be Saturdays.  I hope to get down
to 170# within 2 years.  I think that's realistic since it will be
less than a pound a week.  I'm 69 and in bad health.  My doc says that
diet and exercise will slow down or stop my downward slide.

Doug,

Welcome to WW! You may be surprised to get to your goal sooner simply by
staying on-plan and staying in the meetings.

My advice is to take your favorite foods and find POINT-Friendly ways to
make it. Get some WW cookbooks and try some new things out.
As far as exercise, walking is free and if done right, will help melt those
pounds away.
