I know what to do, I know how to do it, I'm an "expert" in the plan.. and
I'm just not following it this week.
I'm a little peeved at myself (hum.. understatement here) but I'm not giving
up.
I will NOT be ruled by food.. I stopped smoking cold turkey on the first try
and never looked back...
I can get back on track and I will.
My work outs for the week are all planned and written down...
My food plan is halfway there (my week starts tomorrow, I have time to sit
down with DH to finish up).
I REFUSE to not make this work. I'm taking the "mad at myself" energy and
putting it in planning and organizing my week so that it works...
So there!

Wow, Will, hold on. You are puting too much stress on yourself and
this is firing back at you. If you continue with this strategy you
will gain back the pounds you have lost. I understand that you have a
great plan foodwise and exercisewise but I am not sure if you sleep
well (and long enough). Your waistline is directly connected to your
stress level. It does not matter if you eat right and exercise every
day you still need a stress control strategy. I have written many
articles about big waistline, stress and fat. I guess it is not
appropriate to give my URL in this post but you can google "big
waistline" and find it.

Where did you get the idea that I have a big waistline?
I've been at goal for 4 years after losing 70 lbs.
Yeah, I'm hard on myself, but I also learned to reward myself...
One bad week and already I'm classified as unsuccessful? ehehehehe

Willow,
If it is not rude to ask, what was it that caused you to go off course this
week?
I'm always curious about this. I am fairly new to the program (tonite is
4th weigh-in), and I am always curious as to what throws people off the
diet.
The most difficult items for me have been portion control on the meats.
I've am using the flex plan, and have stayed within limits, but its hard for
me not to think of the steaks I use to eat.
Thanks for any advice you are willing to share!

It's not rude to ask, but I'm not sure I know the answer ;op
You know, anything can throw you off plan, stress, a party, unplanned events
(like you planned to cook dinner, and the power is out... with no plan B
that can turn into drive through pretty quick.. heheh Even just stopping
by.. Walmart when you're really hungry and giving in to the snack bars by
the checker counter.. Anything can lead you off..
Generally, when I'm really struggling, it's because I've either failed to
plan, or, like last week, I've just not followed the plan for whatever
reason. I'm under a lot of stress these days, and tend to look for the "easy
way" instead of the healthy way.
Also I've been doing this for 5 years (4 of them at goal!) so I just get
attacks of "I'm sick of it".
Everybody veers off the plan every once in a while, what makes a difference,
is how you react to that.
This week I'm totally commited to my plan, and doing great! No only I'm
eating right and working out, I'm loving it! When I realized that I was
really walking away from my chosen lifestyle, I kicked my own behind, sat
down, and planned my way back on plan, and my week.
Plan plan plan plan plaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan and follow the plan... and if you
fail to follow the plan, get RIGHT BACK on the plan as soon as you realize
it. That's my advice! LOL
