Just checking how many of you attend meetings and how many use the online
tool. I live in a rural place. Going to meetings would be quite difficult
for me. I am finding the online tool to be useful. I like the recipe lists
as well.

What works best for you?

Since I'm a leader, I have to say I'm a big believer in meetings...

Of course, I might have a slant in my opinion...

I am a big believer in meetings, and it is hard for me when I miss a
meeting.  I am NOT a group person by nature so this is an oddity for me.  I
travel 35 miles each way to get to the leader I like but I have attended
meetings in about six different states.  If I hadn't attended meetings I
wouldn't be where I am today. Lee

For me it is the precise point counting. Day to day, I know exactly what/how
much I can eat. I like that. I also like seeing graphs show progress.

Different strokes!

Happy WW.

I'm sorry, I don't see the link between "do you do meeting or online?" and
the precise point counting..

I did meetings all the way through, and I knew exactly what/how much I could
eat.

I missed something.

I guess this is a non issue because I have attended meetings and always kept
my journal on line, Lee

You have to pay for both, though, correct?

Actually if we wanted to use the net tools we would have to pay but meetings
are free as long as we stay within 2 lbs of goal...I believe...Willow can
tell us...GG

Meetings are free as long as you don't get over 2 lbs over your goal.

E-tools you pay for.. 12.95$/month I believe... worth the money I think..

you should suggest free etools for lifetime members as a prize for one of
those contests for a couple of months, Lee

Oh. I like the software that is available online. I log my meals and snacks
there. It is handy. I don't even think that WW intends the tools (software
and meetings) to be mutually exclusive. I am just happy that the online
tools are ALSO available.

Yes! You missed a poster who could accurately describe what she meant.
Because she was .... MIA!

I 'm doing WW by Mail, no meetings. I read this newsgroup for support,
and look for lots of info online.
But I am a WW member and regularly order new tools by mail when they
look useful. It works for me. With my busy work schedule I 'm quite sure
I would start skipping meetings after a while.

I'm a lifetime member (still at goal) and I still attend the weekly
meetings.  You get so much support and advice from attending them.

I also am lifetime and although I now often miss meetings due to some
personal issues I intend to go to meetings for life...The sharing is
invaluable in my opinion...In my business as well....When you can talk with
others you realize you are far from alone...Leaders come and go...Some very
inspiring...Others useless...There certainly is a lot of information on the
net but for me meetings make a difference...GG
