Carmen 1957 - 22 Feb 2009 02:46 GMT Anybody here know who is the group owner of this group? Would be nice if this could be strictly a WW NG, without spammers...
Nathalie W - 22 Feb 2009 06:57 GMT > Anybody here know who is the group owner > of this group? Would be nice if this could be strictly a WW NG, without > spammers... There is no group owner, this is an unmoderated NG. I don't see any spam but I have a good ISP and I set a few filters... cheers,

Carmen 1957 - 22 Feb 2009 23:50 GMT With Webtv newsgroups there has to be a group owner, otherwise this group would not exist..
Stormmee - 23 Feb 2009 01:08 GMT don't know anything about any of that stuff, all I know for sure, is that when i post, and use my filters the people who post here are wonderful, Lee

Your web TV provider may provide a link, but that is all. No owner, no moderatior, we're self-regulating all the way down! ;)

I've been refraining from breaking all these china pet beds - though why anyone would WANT a china pet bed, I don't know. Recipe for disaster, I'd have thought, as well as very cold and uncomfortable.

Stormmee - 24 Feb 2009 10:57 GMT oddly my cats would disagree with you, I bought a serving/baking dish that was on special offer at wally after christmas one year, its one of those deals where you bake the turkey or standing roast in it, it would hold a 20 pound turkey easily, i bought it because i thought i might like it for a fruit holder, when you take it out of the oven you set it into a metal frame on the table and its up off the table... well it was too big for where i wanted it, so i put it on the dining room table to try and figure out what to do with it... one day after dinner, DH folded up the place matts and tossed in... an hour later he walks through and cracks, there was about 35 pounds of cat, in/on/ and hanging out the ends of it... so i moved it to the buffett under the window, and put in 2 old matts and they occasionally argue over the realestate... LOL, Lee

Stormmee - 25 Feb 2009 01:44 GMT it is very funny when one is sleeping in there looks like they are ready to serve, but when 2 or more try and fit in it is just too much, Lee

Stormmee - 24 Feb 2009 10:58 GMT i still don't understand what the real problem is, is there systems that don't allow a kill file? Lee

It doesn't seem to allow much of anything, and in the years I've been online (since 94!) I've seen many Webtv users with similar complains.
I have to admit though, I really didn't think webtv still existed. It's sort of like listening to music on a 8 track.
Maybe it's coming back as "vintage" hehehe

Newsproxy works well with Thunderbird. I use it and just killfile all posts thru Google groups and that takes care of nearly all the spam.

Speaking of which, you might want to cut down the sig file, that's a little obnoxious..
