Back to WW on Thursday for WI...  Up another bit.  I'm back to 11st
11lbs: not good... SOME is the water retention, some lack of exercise,
and some, inevitably, eating more than I should.  I didn't plan properly
last week, so -

OK, back on the plan, back with the exercise (I still managed 64 lengths
last night, so a UK mile, in about an hour and ten minutes.  More
lengths and better speed than the last time I weighed this much), and, I
fear, back to the doc about the water retention.  My knees are like
balloons!  I need a tap in each one.  And several garments are
uncomfortable to wear.

One of the big problems is that when I have plenty of work (like now! 2
more suits, a regency pelisse and a velvet wrap, a pile of floor
cushions and some home projects that need finishing), it's hard to build
any exercise into the day without taking a break, and there isn't always
time for that.  A coupe of recent projects have required 15 hour days in
the last week or so.

Walk to work?  15 feet from bed to sewing machine!
Jog on the spot?  NOT when you are cutting out, sewing, or pressing!
But I do need to do SOMETHING!  I do keep the iron and ironing board,
and the cutting space, downstairs, to build in as much as I can (and
there isn't room for them in the sewing room anyway).

Today I get to walk round London.  Should be enough to get me into the
Healthy zone on me old WW pedometer.  I shall try to wear it every day
to monitor my activity.  One of the things that has occurred to me is
that last time I was on the way down, I DID walk every day: up to the
village school to collect James!  Three years on and he's older, changed
school, and goes on the bus, so I no longer have my daily 2 milke treck
to school and back.

I do know that as I get lighter, the exercise gets easier and I have
more energy, the fibro is less intense on the stressed joints (hips and
knees), and the flares are easier to cope with.  Also, the water
retention is less...  It stiull happens on a more or less monthly basis,
but is less dramatic and goes between times more easily.  The only way
is down!

Go for it Kate!

I have to trot out my pedometer now that I'm in San Francisco and don't have
a car anymore I'll be adding them up!

Well, the last couple of days have been OK...

I did OK on Friday, as reported, and then yesterday I made it into the
HEALTY zone on the ped.  :)  I also ate well, having toast for
breakfast, soup for lunch, and a warm bacon and kale salad for dinner.
I did have a small indulgent pudding, and I'd had a flapjack with coffee
earlier.  Total points were a bit of a guesstimate, but came out at 24
points.  This used up the 19 for the day plus the 5 left over from
Friday's swim.

I didn't swim today as I didn't get home after the theatre (Pete
Postlethwait as King Lear at The Young Vic - fabulous, but seats like a
padded mediaeval rack!) until nearly 2 am!  Lear in LONG, and didn't
start until 7:30pm.  After that we had to get back from Waterloo to
Walworth and the car, and drive home, being diverted through Etham as
half of Blackheath is being dug up for road surface replacement and drains!

Eating on plan today: 2 slices of toast for a late breakfast, zero point
soup and a ham sandwich, followed by yoghurt for lunch, and roast
chicken, veg, and fruit salad for dinner.  :)
